Probably will get removed but where do you pirate from? I use TGX for my movies or is there something better?

They go down frequently and are notorious for being riddled with trap files and malware. No one should be using the bay anymore. 1337x has the same problem now but slightly less than the bay, and a lot of domains are now honeypots. This guy probably read one post about piracy close to a decade ago and NEVER learned anything new after that.

How can I prevent new window focus from overriding cursor focus?

Reply in thread

This does pretty much exactly what it should, and I like that it's just a set-and-forget, one-time-run thing. I don't know if this is just Steam, but Steam specifically is still pretty pervasive about yanking all focus away from whatever I'm doing multiple times in a row.

I tested by slowly dragging a window around on my second screen while Steam opened up on my first. Sure enough, three times my cursor just slipped off as the window came to a grinding halt and forced me to start the click-and-drag again, just to kick me off again until Steam was satisfied its presence was thoroughly announced.

I know this whole thing sounds like such a petty gripe, but words can't describe how absolutely aggravating this is when it happens regularly. If I ever worked with someone who behaved like this, I'd be going hands-on in no time and making sure they never come within eye-sight of me again.

[Solved] [Win10] How do I prevent a USB docked HDD from spinning down constantly?

Reply in thread

So the "turn off disks after" setting was already set, and USB selective suspend already disabled, BUT those are apparently overridden for USB connected drives if the "Allow the computer to turn off this device" box is checked for that USB hub in Windows Device Manager (Power Management tab).

All of those had defaulted to 'on' since I upgraded my mobo, so I think I've got it now.

Please tell me there is a high-quality analogue to this knife

This isn't a bad suggestion, I just have a few personal quirks to what I'm looking for. While I like the Fairbairn style and acknowledge it is better for pure combative purposes, I would personally err more on the side of utility and no-shit edge awareness if I can't legally carry a double-edged blade.

In addition to that, I just really want a wave feature that works. A lot of them are shit, or iffy at best, but even the shitty knock-off I bought has promise. I know it's kind of a gimmick and still not very common, it's just the personal hunt that I'm on because it lends a good balance of deployment speed and legal compliance.

They're cheap, so I bought one just to try it. I can confirm that it's a cheap, Chinese made knife. The liner lock barely works, the hinge comes loose out of the box, the handles feel 3d printed, etc. And I've seen the Luzon, but it's so ridiculously big and stupid looking that I'd rather just carry a Kabar at that point.

Obviously this design is the epitome of fighting knives, but as an edc, general use, pocket knife, I believe this concept is about as good as you're going to get for defensive use. I'm in the thrusting-over-cutting camp right now, if that wasn't apparent. So long, plain edged blades with no stupid gimmicks or "features" to get in the way, which even Emerson Waves lack in with the disc opener and sub-4" blades (no idea why every "defense" knife is fucking 3" or shorter).
