Callidus Assassin mid-transformation.
Tried to depict a Callidus Assassin transforming from a Tau Ethereal
I had a failed 3d print of a Callidus Assassin, a spare Ethereal, and an event requiring models that were no more than 25% 3d printed.
So I tried my hand at manual kit bashing again using clippers, a dremel, and tamiya putty.
I did a zenithal and then used Army Painter Speedpaint v1.0 and some GW washes.
Was originally going for white Viorla armor, tried to put some Army Painter Dark wash, but it was still reading as unpainted to me, rather than white. So I just added some GW Sepia Wash instead.
Still debating if I want to add a Tau text transfer decal to the middle cloth thing.
Anyway, still haven't varnished it, not looking forward to the Speedpaint V1.0 reactivating again, but not a whole lot I can do about it.
Bust of Huyang I 3d printed and painted.
Sister is a huge David Tenant fan, so I thought I'd make something for her as a Christmas present.
Didn't have the right blue tint for the head and made the mistake of trying to apply bit with a brush rather than an air brush.
But I think it's passable.
STL is from LOWRIXDESIGN on the purple 3d printing website. Though I did re-do the eyes.
Winter is perhaps the only time you can successfully invade Russia. Hitler and Napoleon invaded in the summer and failed. The Mongols invaded in the winter and won.
Necessary, but not sufficient condition though.
Sweden tried in the winter, and failed for example.
The last kill, on the last round, of my last game of 9th edition.
Think I'm ending 9th ed on a high note.
My Lord Krieger Leontus thwatted the custodes to death with his power shovel.
The game was a lot closer on points than the fact that there was only a single custodes left alive at the end might suggest.
I squeaked out a narrow victory of 94 to 88.
It's weird that both my squads of Kasrkin survived, and I only lost 1 infantry squad, 2 russes and a chimera.
My opponent and I both had a great time.
