But to be fair i think it kept being "normal" in the south longer than other parts of Italy, like even if the law still existed i don't think in the center or the north it would have been considered viable or normal. I think every army that had to defend their home country would have preferred doing other things, and until 2022 i honestly tought that invasions were a thing of the past, at least in Europe. Russia showed otherwise, now i think that being capable of defending yourself is important. You dont have to have a ginormous army like the US but you have to be enough of a threat that somebody would think twice before attacking.

I dont get how, as europe, we still insist to follow every fucking step of that travesty of a country that is the united states. We have the resources to do everything on our own terms and we still do this blatant fucking ass licking of a warmongering bastard and his little fucking friends like israel.

We dont have the balls to stand up for anything even its blatant violation of international law, of which we pretend to be the biggest defenders. I'm just in love with Full Metal Jacket. Particulary and in contrast to the majority of people (i think), i just love the second half of the film. Don't get me wrong Hartman is a pleasurr to watch, espacially with a dub like the italian one which is spectacular, but the second part is very underrated imo.

Well yeah of course, i recognise im very lucky compared to others, i don't want to pass the idea that i think im in the worst place i could be and neither i write this in hope to get others to feel sorry for me. I was just putting my thoughts outside of my head.

About the work part, i probably gave the wrong idea. It's not like im rich or smth that i can think of not working. I would like to continue to stay in university and get a Phd and maybe who know become a professor, but for my subject of study, which is underfunded compared to STEM, and in Italy in general it's hard to get accepted if you don't get a little "help" from a professor. If i cant pursue in this career id have to search for another kind of employment, and i guarantee you, here in Italy they aren't anxious to give a job to somebody fresh out of uni which hasnt graduated in engineering or IT. Thats want i meant with "i'll have to start working".

Anyways yeah you are right, i was lucky thats, for sure. I try my best to do what i think is better for my life, maybe im just nostalgic.

To be honest, people that say they prefer dogs over humans confuse me a bit. Like, i get the bond you can develop with some animals, thats under no discussion, but idk preferring an animal over a person with thousands of feelings, that is capable of complex thoughts and emotions is not something i particulary like. Im not saying this judging you in particular, but i feel like some people humanise pets too much. I think there's a distinct line between us and them and i've heard people saying that if they had to choose between saving their pets life or another human life they'd choose their own pet and frankly it disturbs me.
