[SRS on X] There was a physical confrontation between CM Punk and Jack Perry right before CM Punk went through the curtain. Working on more details. (+Updates)

I take all this with a huge pinch of salt. Could have been a sideways glance that got polished into a story about punk choking perry out.

Punk drama clickbait fuels and sustains wrestling "journalists" at the moment it seems. Punk is definitely a controversial figure but surely he wouldn't be so stupid as to get into ANOTHER physical altercation after the lawsuits and media drama from last time.

He comes off as a tool sometimes but he doesn't usually come across as a complete idiot. Then again, who knows what happens behind the curtain and closed doors.

Shame this is a thing because tonight was an excellent show for wrestling fans.

I Tried to Play VR With Friends on Quest and it was a Nightmare (Again)

I know it's not rocket science but at the same time I played Horizon Worlds with my wife the other day and it was a nightmare getting it set up.

I couldn't see anything in the Quest guide on the headset to explain how to add friends. Friends are followers which if you're used to social media terminology is confusing. A follower isn't always the same as a friend. Very very minor hurdle.

The next thing was trying to meet her once she had managed to get into the app. She was put into the welcome world or somewhere that we couldn't join together.

Invited to Venues and then I couldn't hear her at all but she could hear me. Messed around with in app audio settings to no avail. Quit the app, 'called her' which I guess put us in a party. Had to set audio to party audio rather than app audio. So we still weren't entirely in the real experience.

I'm guessing she must have denied mic permissions without realizing it when she first opened the app so I'll have to either show her how to change that or do it for her.

I don't mind troubleshooting and tinkering with my experience (I enjoy it!) but she absolutely hates stuff like that and wants things to just work. I think that's probably the case for most people outside of gaming and tech.

Quest 3 Release Megathread

Super pleased with mine. Like getting onboard early to enjoy the new features as there released over time. Dynamic occlusion and torso tracking will be awesome when implemented.

MR will get way better over time. Until then the VR experience is much improved over Quest 2.

Just need a nice facial interface now as the stock one feels a tad uncomfortable at times.

Llama 4 behemoth seems 👍

I'm not getting my hopes up for this one. Scout and Maverick have been appalling in real world use when compared with models that they claim to outperform on benchmarks.

I'm getting less interested in the benchmarks with each new release since the companies just seem to optimise for them. Every major AI company shoots to near the top of the benchmark with each new model they put out but I don't often end up switching to those new models since whatever I'm using will magically catch up a week later.
