@gortbrown @Raphael In all his of my years in Linux, re installing is a way of life. IMO, it’s f one doesn’t have a backup plan, then they may be doing it wrong. This is my opinion.

@NateNate60 @BaconIsAVeg i learned Linux 22 years ago because if work. I enjoy operating systems and don't really get the zealotry of some. I run Arch on my main machine and manage Centos and Debian server farm. In my opinion, Mac run best on OSX. If you want to run Linux, just get a Dell or HP or any of the many Intel manufacturers. These are all tools nothing more.

Is there a proper way to use several DE's on one distro or is it not advised?

@flashgnash @Redo11 I use Debian and Arch and could also wipe out my machine and be back in 20 mins or less. Nix is great but this is not Nix specific. As long as you have a backup of your files and config, recovery is quick on basically any distro.
