Someone I know has trouble reading stuff in their free time that isn’t romantic fiction. They couldn’t make it through Capital the manga. All I could think of for recommendations is ‘the revolt of the angels.’

I have tried writing things I don’t want to forget, but I didn’t like it much. I have copied short quotes and added sticky notes at important parts, which I liked, but felt possibly not enough. I tried annotating, but it made me feel bad and disrespectful for the book.

Most of the memes are fine but for some reason they have one saying either AES or Russia are fascist and we’re evil tankies for critically supporting them. The comments are strange. There’s Communists saying “you sound stupid when you say “tankie”.” And then when they get a reply they’re like “obviously I don’t support AES or Russia, stop grouping me with them.” There are a couple other people defending AES with me in the comments and one is a patsoc 💀.

In the US the foundation and contradiction is settler colonialism. This cannot be solved through integrationism, but only national revolution. You can’t pretend there’s one unified working class in this state because the colonial relation hasn’t been eliminated. The white population may have apparently only the bourgeois/prole contradiction, but to deal with the contradictions of the whole landmass there must be national along with proletarian revolution.
