They can, but since it’s pretty fatty it’s not very good for them. Which is why it’s a birthday treat!

Another vote for trying the instant pot first. I use the pot in pot method with mine, I think the indirect heat is possibly better since there’s no way for it to burn on the bottom. You can also cook in the outer pot while making rice, if the timing works out. For that you just need a pressure proof container that fits inside. I have a tiny cake pan that works great, as well as a 3qt insert that fits inside my 6qt pot. The rice+water goes inside that, and the outer pot has water and a trivet/rack to hold up the inner pot. I cook rice for 5 minutes of pressure then 10 minutes of natural release. Lots of things can be cooked with the pot in pot method, I’ve done rice, beans, and chicken all at the same time.

What are y'all using for physical exfoliation?
I have a few things that I like for physical exfoliation. Most evenings I wash my face in the sink with a soft washcloth, so that’s my basic exfoliation. If I need something more I’m a big fan of dermologica microfoliant. It’s a fine powder that very gently scrubs your face (I use face wash afterwards). Since that’s mostly rice powder I’ve also used rice flour as a cheap alternative. It’s more scrubby and doesn’t foam, but it’s so cheap it’s become my go to. I also find that many masks are just a bit scrubby so those can work too. I like sulfur ointment as a mask, it’s gritty so that scrubs my face just enough (plus sulfur helps acne). Clay masks can also be a little bit exfoliating, but those are more drying.
