Single player game with nice gameplay loop and progression
Roguelikes/lites seem like an obvious choice but that's only if you don't mind having different short playthroughs with each being a short gameplay loop rather than one with a repeating loop. Of these I recommend:
- Hades
- The Binding of Isaac
- Slay The Spire
