Art Of The Deal author fails to secure deal with friendliest nation on planet

We’re more than a nation known for maple syrup and neighbourly friendliness. We’re compassionate: A relatively small town in Gander, Newfoundland, fed, housed, and emotionally supported Americans during the 911 crisis. The “Canadian Caper” was another time we aided the U.S. (there’s a movie about that). We have supported the United States for years in bogus wars at the expense of our young Canadian people. And now, the U.S. blasts us with tariffs? Thank you, Mark Carney, for saying enough is enough!

Sovereignty Shopping

Ok then. Just did some research. WTF?? So, Product of Canada does NOT mean what we think. I think we need new guidelines: Product of Canada needs to mean: Canadian Company. And, thank you to all for the education! Most appreciated!

Canada rejects US terms for trade deal as 50 percent tariffs take effect - The Hill

As a Canadian, I completely understand that. And I 100% sympathize with the American population that does not support him. However, in a country where a “leader” who is “democratically” elected becomes the figurehead of that country, it becomes very difficult to separate “him” from the American population. In the world’s eyes, “him” is the U.S.A. So, when we see “him” wanting to make Canada the 51st state, “him” thinking he is entitled to Greenland, “him” trying to cripple Cuba, “him” deciding Americans should be in charge of the Strait of Hormuz, it’s kinda’ hard to look at the US and say, “yah, but that’s not the American people, that’s just “him”… Unfortunately for you, He IS the American people. You have my sympathies.

Hey Trump!

Interestingly, I recently rewatched Mark Carney's speech at Davos. He IS doing exactly what he talked about. He IS standing up to the USA, and moving away from them. He IS "taking the sign out of the window".
