Tubular is NewPipe with sponsor block. PipePipe is Tubular with more features and faster updates, I belive it's a hard fork but incoperates NewPipe/Tubular updates.
NewPipe < Tubular < PipePipe
Shout out to SmartTV for all of the same on Android TV.

Me discussing buying a car has convinced my mother to finally go grapheneOS
I'm glad for the switch. Buuuut it doesn't work like that.
You search cars heavily. You and your Mum have FB/social media. You have Bluetooth or location or WiFi on. Social knows your hanging out and likely to discuss cars. It shows them ads.
A tech podcast did a dive into this. It even works if your partner and mum arnt connected on social media. Imagine your Mum lives interstate. Mum searches plane tickets and is coming in a month, during the time she searches perfumes but doesn't buy. A few days before arrival your partner gets perfume ads from a place nearby. When mum lands she talks about getting perfume. Partner has been primed where to go.
Its insidious. Graphine will help a little but if you use the internet there is still tracking.
My phone carrier requires an app to change plans. I installed it in a separate profile then the next day got ads for it in FB.

51 Ways to Spell the Image Giraffe: The Hidden Politics of Token Languages in Generative AI
Dominated by popular culture, brands, platform-speak, and non-words. Tokenization is, therefore, a political act: it defines what can be represented and how the world becomes computationally representable.

For users in the US, how much has TikTok content changed after a US consortium took over control?

I thought the us takeover was only for the app in us, and other countries were not affected. But I don't use it so haven't been flowing closely.

Map Apps for GrapheneOS
Reply in thread
Not according to graphene documentation. From what I remember it's because Obtaniuam can't check the signature of the APK. There is app verifier (recommended by obtanium) but it dosnt work with many apps as they don't publish the signature. So you can't verify the APK is what its supposed to be.
FDroid builds the app and signs it. While this may intorduce risk of Fdrpid are doing something dodgey the many eyes and build logs should pick it up.

I thought we knew this already. I remember a website that showed many products and what weeks they had been, and would likely be on special.

YSK: you can buy (email) accounts anonymously using darknet markets
Can you elaborate on how to get get Monero and hide then transaction from BigData/Gov?
I've seen some of the basic steps but I imagine the Gov/Bank see me transfer money to a Monero.
They see that Monero account pay for ServiceX. They then see ServiceX coming from my IP (a VPN might precent this). Or they see ServiceX used by an account that is linked to me. Or they see a number of services paid for by the same Monero account.
Using a VPN is not always possible.
I've also seen machines that take cash but imagine these have CCTV to prevent theft and many link to me even harder.

Map Apps for GrapheneOS
Chiming in to say you can use Wayz its owned by google but you dont need google services installed. Basically googlemaps. Not foss though.
I used to use GmapsVW to browse places and send to OSM. So it didn't matter about missing osm data. But I keep google maps in a private profile (butay swap to wayze) as its got traffic updates and is much easier to use in a pinch.
