Are there any reliable Syncthing Android forks?

For additional info about not releasing anymore on play store from Catfriend1 :

I am no longer publishing this on Google Play

See detailed info about release variants and which is recommended to fit your needs.

"nel0x" has announced to continue publishing on the play store. I welcome his help and the work I think he'll put into his mission. It's up to you, reading this, to decide if to trust and/or support him or go with the F-Droid release channel of this app instead. You don't know me and I don't know him... we are all volunteers in the spirit of open source.

Online Piracy's Great Comeback - YouTube

Reply in thread

Yep it'd ridiculous they feign to not understand that people can't subscribe to all services. Especially when their prices keep increasing. Netflix at beginning almost eradicated piracy for most people. It proves that problem is not people unwilling to pay...
If really they want to offer a better services then all services should unite, you would pay your monthly subscription and based on what you watched each services would get a cut.

IMHO as long as linux don't have a full UI for main settings it will be difficult for it to impose himself.
I know a lot of people will say that now you don't need the terminal but actually you do!
I am using Fedora with KDE and for instance it offers no GUI to easily create and manage user groups. You want to look at your service, stop them, start them, schedule a task... It's all with terminal ! And I am sure there is plenty of other examples.

Don't take me wrong, I am still a Linux user! But I would appreciate not having to look/check online to change some basic things once in a while! 😉

Those who've switched to Linux in the last year, how is it going?

Working nice, no real problems. I am using Fedora. Still forced to use a virtual windows machine (actually a docker image) to make python exe for windows and to use excel (via winapps).

Only thing I didn't get to is to set a good backup strategy yo be able to easily restore previous state if anything broke. It's possible but ask for too much time to do it properly. Which there was an alternative to macrium reflects for windows.
I know there is time machine but my sub volumes are not named the way time machine is expecting.
It would be nice to have an easy app setting it all up!

Announcing the Soft Launch of Fedora Forge

Reply in thread

On Thunder I have no excerpt and I find really annoying all those who post link without comments. They are just doing clickbait like any news aggregator. If I want that there is already google news for instance...
So I value those who add a comment to their post and say why they post it and find it interesting. Isn't Lemmy all about sharing thought, so does poster except other to do it for him and just want to have popular posts?

They finally fixed the navigation buttons on the new Firefox menu. They're at the bottom again!

Can't agree more... It's sad when dev are not using their own products. Or at least those in power.
It would push for making things more convenient. For instance I would love having group tabs...

At least it's a lot better than initially when they released Fenix with a ton of questionable decisions. Like, who thought about collections... Just a bookmarks folder which don't sync...

Foss finance tracker

My Expenses is what I used. Before that it was an excel sheet! Simple, allow to reconcile with bank.

Back then no other app allowed that. All seemed to want to show you dashboard. Nice but IMHO the basics : adding transactions and reconcile them should be nailed.
But I am curious about others suggestions if there is any better one!

One thing I'd like an app to have (on Android) is being able to input planned expenses (which will be auto created when month begin) where I can see for an expense all planned expenses for current year in a column and in another column last year or current year with real expenses.
