Problematic bear situation
I am trying to fold a bear using these instructions, and I am somewhat stuck at step 16.
My problem is that I seem to have some extra folds not shown in the diagram, and my trouble start somewhere around step 12. After step 12 my bear looks like the picture below (ignore all the extra creases, I unfolded it to take the picture):
And during step 16 it looks like this:
I seem to have this extra fold between the head and torso which makes the folds indicated in step 16 impossible, as far as I can tell. To me it seems like the edge of the paper on the head should be facing down, not up, if that makes sense? Similar to the torso. Then those folds would make sense to me. But I just don't understand how to get there. If that were the case, I need to do something different during steps 11/12.
Am i missing something obvious?

Ja, der, Konrad Adenauer. Ich bin immernoch geschockt dass der größte CDU Kanzler ever die Sojawurst erfunden haben soll. Wenn das die CDU von heute mitbekommt.
Leider wurde sein Patent abgelehnt weil damals (zum ersten Weltkrieg) schon die Erbswurst existiert hat. Die Grünen ruinieren auch einfach alles.

Microcontroller recommendations for a weather station

I am planning to build a weather station as an electronics project. It is supposed to be a couple sensors (temperature, humidity, air quality for example) connected to a microcontroller (probably via I²C, because I'm currently interested in that and picked this project as an excuse to do something with it), and a basic LCD display to show the current data.
For this I want a small microcontroller that can collect the stats from the sensors and show them on the screen, so nothing too fancy. I want to actually deploy this on my balcony, so I don't wanna sacrifice a Pi or something along those lines. Ideally something with a sleep mode so I can run it off a button cell. In order to use I²C and an LCD screen I would need around 9-13 pins, depending on the LCD. Plus some additional pins for buttons, means something with at least 16 GPIO pins would be desirable.
I was eyeing out something from the ATtiny family. Ideally it would be a through-hole-mounted chip as I want to use it on a breadboard first (and probably permanently). The only DIP chips are fairly old tho so I'm not sure if they're easy to use nowadays. We used an ATtiny461A in university and had to program it via a Windows XP VM, which is an experience I would not like to relive.
I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty writing raw C code without an stdlib.
While the WiFi functionality of the ESP32 is appealing, I don't know if I want to condemn one of them to a life on the balcony. I would rather use them for one-off projects instead and use something simpler for a long-term deployment.
The following are some ideas I have that I might want to add to my project later, but they're just optional features and I don't necessarily pick the microcontroller based on them:
- Tracking/Logging sensor data over time, e.g. hourly. This would require some fairly accurate timing in order not to drift
- Networking, so I can access the data via my local network
If there exist microcontrollers that fit my criteria I'd be happy to hear about them! I'm not an absolute beginner to electronics, but I've never shopped for microcontrollers before.
So, what to do about Smart TVs?
I'm currently looking to buy a new TV. While I do use Jellyfin to watch movies and shows stored locally in my network, I still want to allow the TV to go on the internet, because I (and my girlfriend) like to watch YouTube, Netflix and such on the TV as well.
My main issue is that I'm looking to buy a Google TV, mainly because I think it's easier to sideload apps like NewPipe or F-Droid. This is one thing that absolutely sucks on my current Samsung TV with its Tizen OS. However, like any Google service, giving it access to the internet is just asking to have your data exfiltrated.
So, I've been thinking about whether I can get a Google TV, but restrict its internet access enough to still use it normally, while blocking all telemetry. I don't have an OpenWRT router or Opnsense firewall (and currently I don't have the capacity, nerves and time to set one up), but I do have a pi hole. I was wondering whether a Pi Hole is enough to block any data exfiltration attempts of my TV? I could restrict the TVs DNS capabilities in my router, so it is forced to use the Pi for name resolution. Are the blocklists good enough for this?
I've also looked into de-googled Android TV builds, but I couldn't find anything conclusive about their capability to display DRM'd media. Do apps like Netflix still run on those OS's? Is a RaspberryPi enough to display 4K media, or would a more advanced mini PC be needed?

What is this type of key?
Its from a 1890s secretary drawer. The shape is reminiscent of a warded key, except it has this pin at the top that I have never seen in a lock. The key would have to have a corresponding hole, which no modern warded key I know of has.
Where can I get a key like this and what is it called?
Prune bamboo with a lot of missing tips?
Hello,
I recently bought two small bamboo plants and put them in two pots on my balcony. They're both doing well and have grown several new stalks that are already growing a lot. But I noticed that the existing stalks were not growing at all, and today I found out why: a lot of them are missing their tips.
To my understanding this means those stalks won't grow anymore. Should I cut the "broken" stalks off to make room for new ones? I'm worried that the plant won't have enough leaves to do photosynthesis, because I would have to cut away quite a bunch.
As to why the plants are missing the tips: I don't know. I assume the store I got them from did it to prevent them from outgrowing the tiny pots they came in
