How did you find this instance and why did you join? (do you use arch?)
Server is running Ubuntu cli
Gaming rig (console style by the TV) running Arch (ChimeraOS) SteamOS ui and Gnome
Laptop running Arch (Garuda KDE Dr460nized)
I was looking for a chill server for anyone, no preppy judgy server.
Glad to see I'm not the only one sticking with Ubuntu for a server lol! I live in the edge with my devices but my wife uses Nextcloud for work and I do backups before every update.

Do you think a video tutorial for lemmy would be helpful
Absolutely! Though what I need is an updated hosting video with docker... Lol

YSK: Installing a bidet attachment to your toilet is super easy and probably cleaner than using toilet paper.

Any recommendations for tiling window managers?
For windows: FancyWM (glazewm acts closer to i3 however it was unstable with many apps and crashed a lot)
For MacOS: Yabai (amethyst if you like stacked layout but I'm a bsp sort of human).
For Linux: kde plasma + bismuth (just wish it had bsp layout)
I would say i3/sway/hypr (hypr probably best out of the 3) however in my months of attempting standalone WMs like these and others I would always go back to my MacBook as everytime I used them i would find something up and each problem took me days to debug. Plasma+bismuth allowed me full time in Linux and MacBook now gathers dust.
My dream though would be plasma+hypr. I read about those who replaced kwin completly with i3 and also got every other benefit of plasma. I couldn't make it work though.
