Cars are superior to bicycles. That’s just a fact.
A car is a real mode of transportation. A bicycle is a toy with wheels. Cars are faster, safer, more practical, and actually useful for anything beyond pretending you’re training for the Tour de France.
A car carries groceries, passengers, luggage, and anything else you need. A bike carries a sweaty rider and maybe a backpack. A car protects you from rain, heat, and cold. A bike leaves you soaked, frozen, or sunburned. A car travels hundreds of miles in a few hours. A bike takes all day to cover the same distance, if you even make it.
Bikes aren’t efficient. They’re slow, unsafe, and ultimately a nuisance to real traffic. The only reason they’re tolerated is because some people are too stubborn or too broke to get a car.
Cars are transportation. Bicycles are exercise equipment. Confusing the two doesn’t make you enlightened—it just makes you wrong.
Windows is just objectively better than Linux. Cry about it.
I honestly don’t understand how people can still cope with using Linux in 2025. Like… why? Are you trying to punish yourself?
On Windows, I click install and boom—it works. On Linux, you have to summon the dark arts of sudo apt-get this and chmod that just to open your stupid text editor. Congrats, you’ve turned using your computer into unpaid IT labor.
Meanwhile, the rest of us on Windows are playing literally any game we want, running the best apps without crying about “compatibility layers,” and actually getting work done. Don’t even start with the “bloatware” nonsense either—nobody cares. My PC boots in 5 seconds, runs everything flawlessly, and doesn’t require me to join some obscure forum to fix basic problems like “why won’t my Wi-Fi work today?”
Linux users always act smug about being “tech-savvy,” but let’s be real: if your OS requires a cult-like Discord server just to troubleshoot why your sound card isn’t working, maybe it’s not as “superior” as you think.
So yeah. Windows > Linux. Always has been, always will be. Cope, seethe, and keep compiling your kernels while the rest of us are actually using our computers instead of worshipping them.
Fear Street Prom Queen should’ve been standalone with no relation to the first three.
Unpopular opinion but I loved this movie. I liked the trilogy a bit better but the vibe was really cool. The kills were great and I loved the main characters. Although I guessed the killers I think it was a great slasher and a fun time! However I think it wasn't really connected.
A Most Cordial Disquisition Upon the Nature of Free Expression and the Bounds Thereof
Good Gentlefolk of This Esteemed Assembly,
I do hope this humble message finds you in both fine health and high spirits. I beg your indulgence, as I venture to expound upon a matter of grave import and delicate constitution—namely, the sacred liberty of free speech and the perplexities which arise when said liberty doth encounter utterances deemed hateful or injurious to the public peace.
In these latter days, it doth appear a growing number of our compatriots, in earnest pursuit of virtue and civility, have taken to curbing certain forms of discourse, alleging that such expressions carry within them the seeds of harm, discord, or hatred. And whilst I commend the noble desire to protect the vulnerable and maintain social harmony, I must, with all due reverence, express a measure of disquiet at the prospect of such curtailments becoming commonplace.
Free expression, though oftentimes vexing and disagreeable, hath long been the cornerstone of any just republic. 'Tis the lamp by which the citizen finds his path through the darkened corridors of tyranny and deceit. When speech is stifled, even with good intention, one must ask—who shall be the arbiter of offense, and by what measure shall the truth be judged?
Shall we not risk, in silencing the wicked, also stifling the just? For history hath taught us that censors, though cloaked in the mantle of righteousness, may err as grievously as those they seek to silence.
Might it not be wiser, then, to allow speech—aye, even that which offends—and answer it with stronger, truer speech? Let ideas clash, that the better may prevail. Let error be exposed not by muzzle, but by open contest in the public square.
I tender these thoughts not as final decree, but as humble entreaty for discussion. Should any soul of sharp wit and gentle heart find fault with my reasoning, I welcome your correction with the greatest gratitude.
What does it mean to be a leftist ?
What's your mantra? What does it mean to you ?
You get $25,000 a week but twice a week, you're abducted by aliens just as you're leaving for work. They'll do weird experiments on you and then drop you off at work two hours late.
Your boss will be fine with this but will make you stay two hours afterwards to make up for lost time.
Horror movies that you won't watch at night.
Any horror movies you will not watch at night? Mine would be to this day,and mind you I'm a level 60,would still be The Exorcist and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. They still creep me the fuck out.
What’s the first horror movie you watched that you totally regret seeing so young?
Poltergeist messed me up for real! I was way too young, thought it’d be just some ghostly fun— but nah,. That clown scene alone had me checking under my bed for years, and don’t even get me started on that creepy TV static. I legit couldn’t sleep right for days. That movie had me regretting every second, but I couldn’t look away!
Alternative Tools to Skopenow for Social Media Investigations
Does anyone have any alternatives to Skopenow that they can vouch for?
I have mixed feelings about it given the cost per search/report and the trial run I did revealed some missing or mixed up information.
I know with OSINT that's bound to happen, and it still found a lot that I didn't, but I've read mixed things about the company and their product recently.
If anyone has anything that I can look into, please let me know! My primary use would be for social media investigations.
Looking for something that can automate the process of social investigations/streamline it for my team, but also with accurate information.
Cost isn't a massive concern so long as the information is solid and the company is reputable/ethical.
What horror movie monster would you hate to see remade in CGI because it would lose its original creepiness?
The Thing from John Carpenter’s classic would be straight-up ruined with CGI! The practical effects in that movie were next level—like, all those gross transformations and body horror moments were so unsettling ‘cause they felt real, you know? If they tried to redo all that with CGI, it’d just look like some video game cutscene. The slimy, gory creepiness of the original would be gone, and that’s what made it so terrifying in the first place. Sometimes the old-school effects hit way harder than digital stuff ever could!
Are people actually scared of eating out alone?
I recently stumbled upon a video discussing how many people feel uncomfortable or even anxious at the thought of dining alone in a restaurant. The idea seemed to be that sitting by yourself in a public place, surrounded by groups or couples, could trigger feelings of self-consciousness or awkwardness. I found it interesting and wondered if this is a common experience. Do a lot of people really get freaked out by the idea of eating alone in a restaurant? Have you ever felt this way, or do you think it’s perfectly fine to enjoy a meal by yourself?
Is Chivalry Dead, or Just Evolving?
Chivalry has long been a topic of debate. Some argue it's an outdated concept that reinforces gender stereotypes, while others believe it’s a timeless display of respect and kindness. In a world striving for equality, where do we draw the line between traditional gestures and modern values?
Have we lost the essence of chivalry, or has it simply transformed into something different? Is it still important for men to hold doors open, pay for dates, or offer their coats? Or do those actions come off as patronizing?
I want to hear your opinions! Do you see chivalry as an essential part of relationships today, or do you think it’s time to move on from those old norms?
