Hot take: Discord is a piece of shit
Discord is just an easy real time communication platform. It is not suited to anything that is not in the moment. It should only augment a community, but so many people use it as a replacement for one.

Young Aussies face prospect of new levy to pay for ageing boomers
Maybe if we could get the multinationals to pay a fraction of tax we could afford it.

The Reserve Bank wants more unemployment. It should be applauded for admitting it

The government would have to employ its own people to do the economic modelling instead of relying on the same people private corporations do to assist them.

Queenslanders asked to weigh in on tough new laws for dangerous dog owners
Reply in thread
I agree with you. People don’t know how to raise and train their dogs. You will get some serious damage from small breeds but their size usually limits it from being fatal. Most people only know how to raise a dog from watching parents or others. Their theory on training a dog is usually based on outdated and flawed premises. When we got ours we did a bunch of research on training and behaviour and I had to relearn what I knew about dogs even though I had them growing up.

I did 99% of my reddit browsing through third party apps and I don’t really want to use their app based on the mobile website experience.

NSW to allow taller, denser property developments while curtailing power of councils
They need to sort out their building codes and inspections otherwise this has future scandal written all over it.

Being renters it means we don’t have options to install solar or insulation. It sucks.

Same as always. It will become not a big deal and then we’ll all get excited when they pass the 10T mark, whilst complaining about what a $100 used to buy.

Any interest in a match discussion discord group?
Probably worth creating discussion threads here to promote content. Once they get to big then move them to discord. That’s my 2 cents.

The bit with office is when you operating as a business you want ease of compatibility when communicating with other businesses and it is easy to write the cost of the software up as just the cost of doing business. Otherwise you just risk frustrating other parties.

Australia needs China's economy to bounce back, but youth unemployment and low consumer confidence suggest it'll take time
Australia always needs to be weary on how much we tie ourselves to Chinese economy. It has burnt certain sectors when they haven’t diversified their trade partners enough in the past and china whacked on trade restrictions.

That is true. Plus my electricity bill is ridiculous because of the building standards in this country.

NRL players won’t speak to media this round in an escalation of their pay dispute
Thanks for that. I had failed to find a concise summary. Most seemed to gloss over some details and be pro nrl or arl and focus on the concussion support

How are you coping with inflation and cost-of-living increases?
We thankfully are going alright. But we look at our grocery and eating out bill and shake our heads.
We can’t figure out how people are coping considering the changes in fuel, electricity and food. It is definitely going to impact our long term goals.
