Managing musicplaylists...any suggestions?

Reply in thread

Agreed 100%. Jellyfin is great for watchable media but it just doesnt work well with music libraries and its metadata. Navidrome is the way. Feishin is probably the best and most preferred client for Navidrome on desktop. And theres tons of clients for mobile whether youre on Android or iOS.

Soulseek & Resharing

Lol I remember when I had trouble setting up slskd in docker, when I was learning. I couldnt figure out how to properly setup my shared files directory and was getting auto banned by people and couldnt figure out why. Then I finally figured it out and got it working. It is a bit dumb to auto ban for that but as you said, it is what it is.

Myrient is shutting down on March 31st, 2026 (best ROM preservation and hosting site with over 390 terabytes)

Its already being uploaded and hosted elsewhere now. New site will be Minerva. So, while its sad, its not gone and will still continue on elsewhere.

Here is their matrix server https://chat.minerva-archive.org/

They are also taking anyone’s help that has storage and can help download anything that still hasn’t been downloaded yet. They have a backup tracker that you can check to see what still needs downloaded. They are also working on data for the checksums to ensure everything matches.

And here is their website if you wish to help and see updates.

Microsoft's "commitment to Windows quality" starts with overhaul of beta program

Came to Linux about a year ago and couldn't really be happier. Will never use Windows again. Everything runs better, some things take a little work to get working but worth it in the end to avoid Microslop and I feel like I actually own my pc and not forced to do what Microshit forces. Also use GrapheneOS on my phone and its a blessing as well having no Google crap dependencies, etc.

[Solved] Music on Jellyfin

Jellyfin doesnt handle music quite as well as Navidrome does. Jellyfin is awesome for watchable media but it lacks a little on music. Navidrome handles artist metadata better. For clients, 100% Feishin on desktop, its just about perfect. On mobile, Castafiore or Resonus I think are two of the best. Finamp is great for a Jellyfin client on mobile but still it depends on the Jellyfin server which again doesnt handle metadata as well.
