You have to wonder how much testing they did on that 4 cent rivet

Apologies, I guess I'm used to reddit where /r/realtesla is a pretty small community so everybody there understands the context.

I've heard that it was a friction fit but it was so hard to slide on in manufacturing that they started using a lubricant (soap-like) to make it easier, which obviously makes it easier to slide off too.

What exactly is the camo supposed to do? Usually it's to hide body lines. Those lines can be seen from space.
