Effect: A little more stoney than I'm used to, but still clear and uplifting. This is also a bit older flower, but I couldn't pass it up

Conclusion: Was at a dispo for some vapes and noticed they had some 1slice on the menu.

On the drier side, as it was in a mylar bad without a moisture pack. Not that big of a deal, since I vaped it but I've popped it in a jar with one for now to wake it up a bit.

Look/Feel: Fluffy, light buds that are almost white

Nose: Berry cheesecake

Method: Venty with temp stepping from 180->195->210

Taste: Berry cream cheese, with a little cinnamon/allspice type flavor peeking through, moving spice into earth/kush toward the end of the session as cream and berry fade.

Effect: Tough labeled Sativa, I found it to more be of a Hybrid effect, promoting clarity with creative thought with body relaxation.

Conclusion: This flower looks beautiful, and is a more unique terpene profile in this market.

The taste was a nice mix up between my more citrus/sweet/diesel sativas, though as noted, this felt more hybrid effect to me.

Effect is good, clear without a wandering mind, but my body was able to relax at the same time.

It's pretty annoying to get old dry flower, especially if it's "premium." As the market in New York matures, so do the operators within in. We're seeing better quality flower in 2026, but also an influx of out-of-state, heavily marketed, mid-tier stuff.

I just wanted to put together some thoughts about how to catch fresh flower drops in New York.

Price/Amount: $40/3.5g

Look/Feel: Light green buds with long red hairs light smaller trichomes but my fingers got sticky tearing it up, good moisture level

Nose: Sweet lemon and light herbs before cracking open. Cracking it open brought out the stank.

Method: Vaped with a Tempest v2 and Venty at 195

Taste: Sour lemon heads candy is the first thing that comes to mind, with a little bit of funk on it with light herb/hops. Lemon rests on the tongue with light sweet cream backed with spice.

Effect: Definitely Sativa effect, there is energy behind this, you feel it in your chest. It's high THC and limonene, I needed/wanted to do something after vaping this. Novice users might want to check out other strains first, or approach this one sparingly.

Conclusion: Oasis Cannabis is a microbusiness that's been in the market for a while now, with good distribution across the state. They opened a retail store front 2 weeks ago outside of Buffalo, I was able to stop by for the first time, and catch Joey opening the shop.

I asked about fresh drops of flower and ones he was excited about. He was quick to start opening fresh jars for me to look at / smell before we even talked more, clearly proud of the flower. There were definitely some stand-outs but I limited myself to an ounce. I'm reviewing this one first because it's the freshest I've seen in the recreational market as just some guy. It was packaged 5/4/26 and purchased 5/23/26.

He mentioned a few things, they've moved to bottom fed all organic for the next drop. Live resin vapes waiting on labs but ~2-3 weeks out, probably.

Everything I looked at and smelled at the shop was up there with Alpine Argonomy, 6 Point, Budding Bliss I've recently reviewed.

Other strains I picked up: Blue Dream, Sour Dlux, Chimera Junky

Two weeks ago, I attempted to get in contact with the fuckcombustion.com forum admin and despite two promising leads, I have received no updates, messages or timelines.

It was my hope that I could hand this off to the admin or otherwise work with his contacts. Subsequent attempts to establish contact have not been successful.

Approximately 6 weeks ago the forums went down. We have no idea what's involved in recovery or how long it will take.

Though many will be happy to hear this news, there are many, including myself that are conflicted. This is the community's archive, I wanted to provide to the original team to steward but have been unable to achieve that.

While waiting for communications, I reduced the size and modernized the archive to provide a static site based on the original but with search and other minor features.

I've registered a new domain to keep distanced from other projects of mine. I'm happy to redirect or completely disable if/when fuckcombustion.com comes back.

A torrent or GitHub repository are in consideration.

As of February 26, 2026, the Office of Cannabis Management is issuing a recall on multiple adult-use cannabis products tested by Keystone State Testing New York.

Following inspections and a records audit conducted between December 2025 and January 2026, the Office determined that Keystone State Testing New York issued unreliable test results for several adult-use cannabis products. As a result, products tested by this laboratory may not have met required state safety and testing standards.

The Office identified a total of 54 product lots in which results for Aspergillus, a disease-causing mold, were reported incorrectly and did not meet required safety standards for consumption. One additional product lot had a result for the heavy metal cadmium reported incorrectly and did not meet safety standards. These findings violate New York Cannabis Law and related regulations.

As such, these products are considered adulterated and may pose a potential risk to consumer health and safety. The Office is issuing this recall as a precautionary measure.

Look/Feel: A ring of lighter cold cure live hash rosin around deeper yellow rosin live hash jam

Nose: Very tropical. Fruit and hints of coconut.

Method: Core 2.1, white light, 465F

Taste: Guava forward settling into kiwi/strawberry-like notes with some butter/cream on the backend

Effect: Very fast stoniness with a body high starting almost immediately. Very relaxed body, but mild to intense sativa effects that increase focus and clarity. Excellent strain for some video games.

Conclusion: Thank you to NYSCannabis for the recommendation of this brand.

I was able to find an awesome shop in Buffalo that carries it along with some other great rosin/resin vapes I've enjoyed on the market. I had no idea their micro flower selections were so good, but I was here for concentrates this trip.

This rosin is one of the best rosin pickups I've had in this market. I'm pleased the thumbprint made it to me without losing integrity, the shop owner confirmed they kept this in the freezer, which I appreciate, as some of the product I've picked up in the past year has been handled poorly and the terps ran away. Shout out to Premier Earth Corp for giving a shit in a lot of right ways, like their inventory.

Flavor and effect are on point, it's fun having the different consistencies to mix and use.
