I've got a little RV with a window that slides open and I've been parkin in this spot for the last five summers or so. I think they just started to recognize me after a while when they'd see me sitting outside or cleaning the birdbath or something, then they'd hop in the tree so I could toss 'em a peanut. There was one last year who'd also take a peanut from my fingers, but he got eaten by a stray cat (R.I.P. Leftenant Checkers). This fella won't sit on my hand or anything, just kinda uses it as a springboard to grab the nut and fly off. And he'll only do it if I'm sitting inside with my arm out the window. I tried to get a little closer while I was outside, but he's havin none of that.

Either way, my mom gets a kick out of my bird pics so I try to keep my phone handy by the window. :P --Feeder with a black-headed grosbeak and cat tax.
