Gen Z will be last generation with white majority in US, study finds

In America, the terms Latino, Latinx, and Hispanic refer to basically anyone from any country in the Americas that is below the United States, geographically and 'culturally'. It's essentially a label Americans use to say, " oh you're from one of THOSE shithole countries".

The great great grandson of a Spanish conquistador who massacred thousands of indigenous people to claim his own plantation is considered the exact same as the granddaughter of an indigenous person on the receiving end. Both are called Hispanics, making the word an utterly meaningless label.

Why is it so accurate?

China has plenty of home-grown digital maps that are better than Google Maps when in China (for example Baidu Maps). China has blocked Western companies from being able to use accurate mapping data of the country on grounds of national security and digital protectionism.

It's quite nonsensical for Westerners to blame China for simply implementing policies to incubate their own tech industry when they use tariffs to do the exact same thing. If China didn't pass such laws, Google Maps would have a global monopoly on digital maps.

Boba liberalism aside, how would you address the issue of China's soft power, according to AINI?

Previously this may have been true, mostly because South Korea and Japan have been embraced by the US as vassal states. Obviously China will not have the same level of cultural exchange with the US.

For example, do we complain about a lack of Cuban, Vietnamese, or Laotian soft power in the West? No, because those countries are also marked as enemies by the US.

Today, Chinese cultural exports are starting to be able to stand on their own in the global market without extra help from Western governments. For instance, Genshin Impact, made by miHOYO from China, earned the highest ever first-year launch revenue of any video game.

Her analysis is insanely narrow, and fails to take into account any of these historical issues. Her conclusion boils down to: "China should make the West happy so they buy more C-pop."

Socially conscious films for the comrades

Sorry to Bother You (2018) is the most on-the-nose communist film I have ever watched. It's written by communist activist Boots Riley. The Wikipedia synopsis should give a good idea of how great it is:

The film follows a young black telemarketer who adopts a white accent to succeed at his job. Swept into a corporate conspiracy, he must choose between profit and joining his activist friends to organize labor.

China Drafts New Rules to Curb Internet Addiction Among Children and Teens

This is a great policy. This forces Chinese internet companies to provide ways to prevent youth digital addiction, unlike in the West where anything goes.

The parent opt-out policy is a good thing. Some youth may be under special circumstances (esports gamer, mobile developer, etc.).

I didn't know that the youth gaming policy was also opt-out. Everyone in the west omitted that said that it was mandatory, and that seemed pretty over the top. Since both are opt out, this is a very reasonable policy.

I think this mostly has to do with the extensive use of vegetables cooked in various tasty ways. Western dishes (specifically West European) seem to have very few good techniques to cook vegetables, leading white children to hate veggies. I think this is exacerbated in Britain and their Anglo-Saxon colonies (cue the meme about British food having no seasoning).

Also, proper Asian dishes tend not to actually use much oil. Stir frying only lightly coats the outside of food with oil, very different from western deep frying.

The absurdity of equating anti-Zionism with antisemitism

The problem is that Zionists equate Zionism with being Jewish. In doing so, they invite those opposed to Zionism to also hate Jews in general. For instance, many Palestinians probably hate Jews in general by this point (understandably).

The Zionist then turn around and use this hatred they created to convince Jews about the need for Israel, in a sort of self-fulfilling cycle.

Gitee is China's “independent, open-source code hosting platform” alternative to GitHub, intended to reduce dependence on GitHub.

Github has a history of cutting off service to non-U.S.-aligned countries. For example in 2019 GitHub cut off certain services from users in U.S.-sanctioned countries including Iran, Syria, and Crimea.
