This should be a pretty cut and dry false takedown. Newpipe doesn't host any content.

3rd party app for Reddit, Boost, is still functioning well after July 1st
Reply in thread
The app still works for me. But I've been hearing Reddit has shut down the old mod API token, but not the regular token yet. So that might explain a little. However, RedReader was granted accessibility exemption so who knows what's going on.

Self-checkout theft causing problems for retailers — and shoppers who despise receipt checks
You don't legally have to stop and show your receipt (except Costco). I have a friend that pont blank tells them "nah" every time. Catch is, security can legally detain you if they really suspect something.
For me it's not worth the hassle and I just show them with an annoying look.

My guess, a month or two delay doesn't fit into their timeline. It shows with the rush to API change, and the "convenient" July 1 (3rd quarter) start date. They're going all out to prove Fidelity's valuation downgrade wrong, and show a full quarter of Reddit's revenue potential.

The worst physical pain you've ever experienced ?

Yeah, I had to tell my wife that pain while drilling is not normal. We both have high tolerance for anesthetic, but it never occured to her to ask for more.

And that $60m is likely chump change compared to their potential to make off data mining.
