You are right. I think it's time to release it on Google play. I also want to focus on getting the app into the main F-Droid repo as well.

I was quite busy in the first half of the week, so I couldn't implement the features I wanted for the next update.

I think I should release patches a bit more often to tackle these critical bugs.

I'm also thinking about setting up an F-Droid repo for nightly builds, so people can try new features before they are officially released.

Just wanted to add here that you can test the release early with the nightly builds or with the Google Play Beta program (it's still under review, but hopefully it will be out there soon).

If you find any issues with it, please let me know so I can fix it before this release.

UPDATE: It should be available on the Google Play Beta now. Unfortunately, I've found some issues with posting comments/posts so I will need to fix that before the release.

No, the app is not abandoned. I'm actually planning a release today, provided everything goes smoothly. This update will address several bugs that have been reported here and on the bug tracker.

I've also been in discussions with the F-Droid repo. They are also waiting for this new release, as this will introduce reproducible builds. Hopefully, this means the app can be published there soon.

I've just found a bug in this release. When I tap on the "show all comments" button the app crashes.

I've patched it in my latest commit.

Yes. When the "Lemmy part" is more or less completed, I'm planning on adding Kbin and possibly other fediverse services if I have the time.

Sure thing! I worked on merging changes from Infinity to Eternity, and one of these changes was actually this very thing. Implementing this by itself isn't too hard either, and it would help improve the usability of the app.

I haven't removed those options. I'm hoping I can get that feature ready for the next release. I have a somewhat working proof of concept implementation ready and I have a few ideas to improve it.

Currently, there is no page to show you the list of communities (other than your subscriptions/blocks). However, I plan to implement something similar to this one soon.

I also want to add an instance view page that will show the list of communities for that specific instance as well.
