UFO Whistleblower Dave Grusch Tells Me Everything - Jesse Michels

Video Description:

Dave Grusch is a former 14-year high ranking intelligence officer who left government in early '23 to blow the whistle on UFO’s. In 2019, he was tasked by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and Pentagon to investigate UFO’s as part of the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon Task Force (or UAPTF). In that context, he slowly started to uncover a covert UFO reverse engineering program being concealed from the civilian government. In June of '23, he outed himself to the public. In July of '23, he testified before Congress. We sat down for hours and talked about the entire history of UFO's, UFO and Atomic secrecy, Presidents and their relationships to UFO's and the insane world of Anti-Gravity research.

12:00 onwards - Grusch outlines that leakers are under penalty of imprisonment and execution.

16:50 onward “non human Biologics” he stated in an interview previously they’re pilots and he doesn’t know what their actual job was. They were “nonhuman intelligence” pilots.

18:00 onward he was cleared by the Pentagon to talk about this.

19:00 onward Grusch insinuates that the initial reasoning for hiding the information was the ontological shock it would cause in society due to society’s religiousness at the time, along with concealing the information from adversaries like Russia.

20:40 onward - the officials involved in the Manhattan Project also created the laws related to obfuscation and secrecy of the topic. 21:28 - retrieved UAP materials that give off radiation are classified under the Atomic Energy Act (intentionally).

23:00 onward - there was a deeper classified project (related to the Manhattan Project) studying UFOs aside from Project Blue Book

28:00 onward- Grusch states that it’s hard to tell how far ahead their (the nonhuman intelligence) technology is. “It’s hard to state how far in advance it is. You’re just assuming some sort of linear progression. They’ve made an asymptotal leap that put them over the edge. They’re similarly as advanced as us but they’ve had an asymmetric evolution they went a different path than us. While we’ve made nuclear weapons, they’ve made a propulsion discovery but they’re not that much more advanced than you and I”.

29:50- Grusch states that once we unlocked nuclear power we made major technological strides. We may be one discovery away from manipulating spacetime.

30:29- the UFOs are interested in our nuclear technology.

36:00 onward - Grusch references Lue Elizondo’s comment on the ETs studying us and it’s possible the UFO crashes were intentionally seeded to test humanity’s development in relation to being exposed to this technology.

42:00 onwards - there may have been scientific breakthroughs that were hidden from the public.

44:00 - Dr Hal Puthoff of the Pentagon insinuates that antigravity research did get somewhere (made progress) and then was hidden.

47:00 onward - UFO metamaterials are discussed.

59:50- the connection of the “UFO Disclosure” movement (and intentional disinformation) to the “elite” is described by the host.

1:04:00 onwards - there’s a long history of “UFO debunkers” being directly linked to government organizations that have actually studied UAP.

1:17:28- this portion is interesting since it references information that Elizondo and Dr Garry Nolan have stated.

For background, Elizondo (Pentagon), Dr. Garry Nolan (accomplished academic who was approached by the CIA to study UAPs, also stated they told him information regarding the beings operating the crafts), and John Ramirez [CIA- was referenced as having worked there separately by Jim Semivan of the CIA, referenced in this article (https://www.benzinga.com/amp/content/34082411) have all stated, in summary, that members within the defense establishment believe these beings are bioengineered AI.

Grusch notably references this at this time stamp as a possibility to what these beings are. If you notice, he goes out of his way to reference specifically what Elizondo had stated in a past interview, that the ETs are designed to look humanoid to interact with humans. (In Elizondo’s interview, he brought up an example of how zookeepers in China disguise themselves as pandas to interact with the pandas, and what we are seeing is a similar situation).

1:19:30- ETs being our descendants from the future is discussed. The host describes this as being a possible reason for the ET non-interventionism. As in, they don’t want to harm the timeline too much such that their own existence is nullified. (My note: it would be interesting if some of what people have witnessed is in fact humans from the future that have mastered ET propulsion and time travel technology, which is why they only appear fleetingly in some instances and choose not to intervene in major events).

1:27:00 onward - military sensory systems disproportionately detect UFOs since their collection mechanisms are more advanced than what’s available to the average person.

1:32:30 onward - Grusch details how being on the Autism spectrum have shaped his interactions.

Grusch background (wiki): David Charles Grusch is a decorated Afghanistan combat veteran and former Air Force intelligence officer[1] who worked in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).[2][3][4][5] From 2019 to 2021, he was the representative of the NRO to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force.[3][4][6] From late 2021 to July 2022, he was the co-lead for UAP analysis at the NGA and its representative to the task force.[2] He assisted in drafting the National Defense Authorization Act of 2023,[7] which includes provisions for reporting of UFOs, including whistleblower protections and exemptions to non-disclosure orders and agreements.[8][9][10] Congressional interest in UFO sightings immediately prior to Grusch's public claims surrounded questions about the four objects that the Air Force shot down in February 2023.[11]

Community Post Regarding Civility During Discussions

TL;DR - Please remain civil and follow the community rules listed in the sidebar.

UAP Community,

I hope this message finds you well. As our community continues to expand, we will undoubtedly attract individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. UAP and The Phenomenon as a whole have been associated with a myriad of sightings and encounters.

Whether you deem this as mere nonsense, believe in it wholeheartedly, or are just here to gain a deeper understanding, I urge everyone to maintain civility. It's perfectly acceptable to downvote or disagree while providing your reasoning. However, derogatory statements lacking substance will no longer be tolerated. From this point onwards, such remarks will be deleted, and the responsible user will be warned. Lemmy logs any actions taken by mods for the sake of transparency.

To the ardent believers and those who've experienced these phenomena firsthand, I want to ensure you feel safe and encouraged to share your stories. I also ask for your patience and a willingness to seek common ground with our more skeptical members. Conversely, I urge the skeptics among us to approach this topic with an open mind and humility.

Before offering commentary, I recommend investing some time in researching classic UAP cases—our sidebar offers valuable resources. I personally recommend the excellent post An Extensive Collection of Compelling Evidence and My Rational Defense of the Existence of UAP by user GONADS125. It becomes evident who has genuinely delved into the subject and who has merely skimmed it. Most skeptics who've taken the time to research may still desire further evidence or data, while those unfamiliar with the topic often resort to derogatory comments or dismissive gestures.

This distinction will become even more pronounced when discussions veer into more controversial or 'woo' territories. If you're unsure what I mean, you might need to acquaint yourself more with the subject matter.

Apologies for the lengthy message; I'll conclude now. Remember, we are all members of the human family. We've gathered in this community driven by a shared curiosity about the nature of our existence and our role within the cosmos. I welcome each one of you, regardless of your beliefs or backgrounds. Please, enter this community with an open heart and mind and leave your ego and any preconceptions at the door. Whether there's a mundane explanation for UAP, or the reality is more mystifying than we can comprehend, our collective quest for understanding continues.

Thank you all for your time and understanding. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Military Veterans Testify on Witnessing Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (2025)

Active-duty military personnel and veterans from the U.S. Air Force and Navy recounted their experiences with witnessing Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). The witnesses, who appeared before the House Oversight and Government Reform Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, also testified on the need for government transparency and increased protections for whistleblowers, described reports of other sightings of UAP, and shared how some had been retaliated against by government agencies for sharing their experiences. Also testifying was George Knapp, an investigative reporter from KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, who has investigated UAP for the past few decades.

1987 Southland USO Incident

The 1987 HMNZS Southland USO Encounter Kevin H. Knuth Witness: Seaman David Barnett Feb 1987, 175 mi NE off the tip of New Zealand’s North Island

The HMNZS Southland was a (non-nuclear) Leander class Frigate. She was classified as an anti-submarine cruiser and operated both the G750 omni-directional sonar as well as the 177m attacker sonar. In November of 1986, NZ DOD had the HMNZS Southland run exercises from Auckland about 20 km into the Hauraki Gulf and turn around and return with sonars in active mode to draw in and detect USOs. On multiple occasions the Southland was followed up to the harbor by a pair of unidentified underwater craft (USOs). These USOs did not present propellor noise and could not be identified. They would consistently break away before the Southland entered the harbor.

In February 1987, the Southland was located approximately 175 nautical miles North East off the tip of New Zealand’s North Island. At one point the Southland’s sonar detected a large underwater craft (USO) following directly astern that was estimated to be about 150 feet in width. Since the USO was directly astern, they could not determine the length of the object. Again, the USO could not be identified as no propellor sounds were detected. The USO moved silently.

The USO was directly astern at all times and it maintained a constant distance of 20 km and with a relative speed that was again constant to the ship. The ship’s speed this was continuously changing from between 20 knots at its slowest to around 28 knots as the captain attempted to shake the object off. The ship also carried out during this time random course changes from port to starboard whilst also increasing and decreasing speeds.

During one sharp turn, the sonar operators were able to measure the length of the USO, which was approximately 800 feet. The largest submarines are the Typhoon class submarines with a length of about 575 feet. The USO was 30% longer than the largest known submarine. After the turn, the USO began to accelerate closing the 20 km distance from the Southland. It took between 25 and 30 seconds for the USO to close the distance and pass beneath the Southland, which was when the ship lost all power and was left adrift leaving the crew on deck waiting for hours to be spotted and rescued.

Clearly the USO had to accelerate to close the 20 km distance that it had been maintaining. Here we perform two calculations to estimate the speed, and acceleration of the USO. The first calculation involves estimating a minimum speed for the USO. We assume that the USO instantaneously accelerates from the original speed of about 𝑣𝑜 = 20 − 28 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑡𝑠 (23 − 32 𝑚𝑝ℎ) to a higher speed, 𝑣, which it then maintains closing the distance. This will be a lower bound on the underwater speed of the USO as it closes the 𝑥 = 20 𝑘𝑚 distance in 𝑡 = 30 𝑠.

𝑣 = 𝑥 𝑡 = 20 𝑘𝑚 30 𝑠 = 0.667 𝑘𝑝𝑠 = 1492 𝑚𝑝ℎ So, at minimum, the USO was observed to be traveling at about 1500 𝑚𝑝ℎ underwater. The second calculation is based on assuming a minimum acceleration. Here we assume that the USO accelerates at a constant rate during the maneuver. 𝑥 = 1 2 𝑎 𝑡2 𝑎 = 2𝑥 𝑡2 𝑎 = 2 ∙ 20 𝑘𝑚 (30 𝑠)2 = 4 90 𝑘𝑚 𝑠2 ∙ 1000 𝑚 1 𝑘𝑚 = 400 9 𝑚 𝑠2 = 44.4 𝑚 𝑠2 = 4.5 g with at top speed of 𝑣 = 𝑎𝑡 = 44.4 𝑚 𝑠2 ∙ 30 𝑠 = 1332 𝑚 𝑠 = 2980 𝑚𝑝ℎ

At minimum the acceleration was 4.5 𝑔 (4.5 times the acceleration of gravity at Earth’s surface), with a maximum speed of almost 3000 𝑚𝑝ℎ underwater. In summary, we can safely say that the 800 𝑓𝑜𝑜𝑡 long USO performed a maneuver exhibiting an acceleration of at least 4.5 𝑔, reaching a speed somewhere between 1500 and 3000 𝑚𝑝ℎ underwater.

2025 UAP Records in Review

2025 should have been a big year for UAP records, but fell short of expectations. The UAP record transfers established in the 2024 NDAA were due to the National Archives (NARA) by September 30, 2025. Records would have 30 days from receipt to be available in person and 180 days to be made available online. Even considering the government shut down, records should now be publicly available at their College Park, MD location. However, the National Archives has yet to provide an update on what additional records may be available in person.

At the beginning of 2025 I started to send out FOIAs requesting the lists of UAP records each agency identified for transfer to NARA.

20 agencies responded that my FOIAs didn’t return any results, 14 agencies have not responded to my FOIAs or emails, and only 4 agencies yielded any form of results.

So where do the UAP record transfers stand?

What was added to the National Archives?

The only agencies to have UAP records added to the National Archives’ online catalog this year were the FAA, NRC, NSA, ODNI, and OSD.

The FAA’s records seem to be new, consisting of air traffic reports. While the other agencies mostly transferred records previously available to the public.

And, while drafting this post, the NRC’s page has been updated with 6 new records. The new records mainly seem to be about UAP reporting and AARO. The NRC originally provided me with a list of 3 records, which were in the first batch uploaded to NARA. At that time, the remaining UAP records were in contention with NARA. These new records have redactions, which could have been a compromise to get them released. Since, they just popped up I haven’t had time for a thorough review.

All of these records can be viewed in Record Group 615

A break down of the first batch of records for the FAA, NRC, ODNI, and OSD can be found in my post National Archives UAP Records Upload (01) and a breakdown of the second batch with NSA’s in NSA’s UAP Records and the Government Shutdown.

What remains to be added?

The only additional agencies confirmed to have UAP records to be added are the Air Force, NARA, and potentially FBI.

Air Force

The Air Force released a list of 30 records being transferred, but it is unclear when those were or will be transferred. See my post, Air Force’s UAP Records, for the list of records being transferred.

FBI

The FBI appears to have compiled a list of UAP records to transfer to NARA, but the list was withheld from FOIA release. It is unclear how many of the records identified will be for public release or will be withheld after transferring.

The material you requested is currently in draft form which is exempt from disclosure pursuant to Title 5 U.S.C. § 552 (b)(1), and (b)(5). The information was also reviewed under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Title 5, U.S.C. § 552, and the material is exempt in its entirety pursuant to subsection (b)(7)(E). 5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(1) exempts from disclosure records that are:

(A) specifically authorized under criteria established by an Executive Order to be kept secret in the interest of national defense or foreign policy; and (B) are in fact properly classified pursuant to such Executive Order.

In applying these exemptions, the FBI determined the records responsive to your request are in draft form; that the documents are pre-decisional and deliberative. As such, release of the draft records could reasonably be expected to interfere with the interests protected by the deliberative process. These records are also law enforcement records, the release of which could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings or risk circumvention of the law, therefore, your request is being closed.

NARA

The National Archives themselves have UAP records that were previously in their possession that have still not been digitized or added to their UAP collection. I have reached out on multiple occasions and have not received any clear answers. Some examples:

These are just some of the records I found with place holders online. It is unclear if additional UAP records exist at NARA that aren’t listed online.

What won’t be added?

NASA

NASA confirmed that they have UAP records, but won’t be transferring any due to them being owned by the DoD.

“Per the requirements in Section 1841-1842 of the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act for handling records related to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), NASA does not have any records that meet the requirements to submit records to the National Archives. Any agency-related records associated with UAP, came from, and are owned by, the U.S. Department of Defense.”

-NASA Office of Communications

Records withheld from release

As outlined in the 2024 NDAA, agencies can transfer records to NARA that will be withheld from public release. The potential release of these records has been a point of contention between agencies and NARA, with the public left in the dark. I have reached out to NARA to see if any insight could be provided on the scale of records withheld, but have yet to receive any response.

What remains unclear?

Many of my FOIA for lists of UAP records identified for transfer to NARA remain unanswered. The CIA, NOAA, NTSB, and plenty of DoD agencies have yet to provide a response to my FOIAs. NOAA has followed up on multiple occasions to state that they are working on the request, but the other agencies are in limbo. Whether these agencies have records being transferred remains to be seen.

Under the radar

Something seemed to fly under the radar in UAP news. Did you miss the job posting from Booz Allen Hamilton for Counterintelligence and HUMINT Operations Officer, Senior? Requirements included “Experience conducting comprehensive records reviews of U.S. government agencies, including archived and classified materials, for information about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) activities” and “Ability to assess, plan, and execute site surveys of government facilities, archives, and locations linked to alleged historical UAP activity”.

This was a short lived job posting that appeared to have been up for less than a week. Who the client is for the role is unclear, but this is a unique role that I had not seen pop up before.

Videos of UAP's engaging one another

Made a post two years ago on Reddit about a battle that happened a really long time ago in Germany in 1561 (Nuremburg Phenomnenon) in the sky. Which got me glued to formerly* Twitter looking for videos of UAP fighting each other or having at least some sort of engagement. Heres a small collection of these clips:

H-shaped formation falling across the night sky

A year or so back I was walking to work around 5am and I saw a sizable H shape silently fall across the sky at a pretty rapid speed. Maybe 5-10x the speed of a satellite. Far quicker than anything I've ever seen cross the sky of human origin. It's hard to articulate the size, but I guess if you held a mandarin orange out toward the sky at arm's length, it would have just covered the size of this thing to the naked eye.

To better describe it, it looked like dim white stars forming a perfect H-shaped constellation. At least 7 points (one connecting the two rows on either side). It made no noise, had no other lights, and soared overhead at the speed I would imagine an F5 might fly overhead. It was going.

My initial thought was maybe the ISS, despite it not being remotely that close to earth to form that shape. I checked the live map and it was on the other side of the world. I checked the Space-X StarLink live map and there were barely any over Canada at the time, and what were there were sparse and formed no shapes.

I've never seen anything like it since, but I'm always watching on those early morning walks.

I realize this is, by definition, a UAP, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ever seen one that matched this description? It's not my only UAP experience, but it's by far the most unique I've witnessed.
