Hi. I haven't paid the Trackmania subscription for a while because I don't think it's right to give money to Ubisoft, and even less now that Trackmania is involved in the Saudi Arabia tournament. What do you think about all this? Do you really think my stance makes sense? The truth is I'd like to have the full game, because I like TM and I always follow it, but what I mentioned above puts me off a lot...

I’ve also tried to get the community to move to better alternatives, like switching Reddit for Piefed or Lemmy, and leaving Discord for Matrix or Stoat, but there’s no way... The community is great, but it seems stuck in these awful apps... A few days ago, for example, I tried to bring up the topic in the Trackmania Discord. One user supported me and then we were ignored. The same happened in the Trackmania Spanish Discord, nobody is going to take action, even if they think it's the right thing, because there's no community they don't want to. But there isn't a community because they won't take action, it's stupid.

It's crazy what can be achieved with determination and right tools. Let's wait for another breakthrogh.

Honestly impressed by the achievement. This was an incredibly difficult map. And a lot of fun to watch. A bit sad that scrapie didn't make it up very far, but nice that he decided to cast in the end.

These are my opninions 1: nice map, good flow and lenght while also having optimization potential. Solid 8/10

2: i dont like dirt driving that much, not a good map for me too little to do. 4/10

3: wait what an actual puzzle, fun to drive and figure out, this is exactly what i want 9/10

4: speedmap, fun to drive but i dont see a lot to do other than skip start and do 2 turns basically perfect. I expected more 6/10

5: what is this even holy snowcar hell, proper lol just not as fun as last week 7/10

What do you think of the current weekly shorts?

1: too boring, gear issues and basically just the end drift is relevant for a good time

2: super boring, start drift is the only relevant part, 2nd drift is auto drift and hold left forever. Finish is interesting.

3: ok, actual path is hard to find which is good, tho i wish other paths were close in time.

4: i love some good nascar even tho i am terrible

5: what is this even, 2 dirt corners with some wonky bounce, id rather have all week a08 than this.

Overall, compared to last weeks this feels boring and basic.

Also i have no idea why but it feels impossible to gain ranks, last week i finished top 1000 overall (with places like 400 in map 5) but this weeks i cant make top 5k in a single map. This feels.kinda wrong, my runs arent superb but also not bad.

I know this community isn't active at all, but this is a bit sad. I enjoyed watching his streams of Deep Dip 2, though I could feel his frustration every time he fell and lost an hour of progress. Respect for reaching this far!

What do you guys think about DD2? I love watching my favorite streamers fall again and again, but I probably won't try it myself. I couldn't even get past the first few obstacles on deep dip 1.

So do you people either watch others play it, play it yourself or do you prefer normal tracks?

I'm sponsoring a large tournament in October but I quit playing this game over a month ago. The shift from "you can play this on any device" to "you can only compete with an analog device" soured my experience so much I gave up. It feels like Nadeo has lost their way.

Tell me how you feel about the recent changes.

I started playing at a dark time, enjoying the arcade feel of the game, racing on my keyboard, as it was meant to be.

Nadeo is bound and determined to say "FUCK YOU" to digital inputs, and has now wholeheartedly embraced analog inputs. just like every other racing game

Trackmania was a different thing, a harkening back to a simpler time. No more.

I'm going to miss racing with you guys, but the reason I started playing is getting phased out.
