Palancar Horseshoe Sponge Spawning Event, Plus a Green Sea Turtle.
The premiere is at 3:00 PM Central (US)! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwz-jhTsils
This is the first of a series of dives I did while in San Miguel de Cozumel, Mexico from April 1st to April 23rd 2026.
I know a lot of Lemmy users don't do YouTube but give me a chance. Being in the water has been life-changing for me. I’m a survivor of childhood abuse, and healing is still happening - day by day. I want to share that with other survivors, especially teens and young adults, by offering free training and a basic gear package.
And I’m backing it with real work off-platform too:
www.muttmutt.us (my personal page)
www.doghousediving.org (where the foundation will live)
The foundation will do one main thing for me: help put me in the water so I can create more content and train others.
All it takes is you: watch, share, and help spread the word.

P.S.
If you want to do what Vulfpeck did I won't mind a bit. It's not like Google is going to lose anything. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleepify

Green Moray Eel Spotted in the Open in Grand Cayman
Came around the corner of the reef after swimming under a shelf and this big green moray was just hanging around. Was amazing to see it sitting there out in the open though we probably spoiled its idea of grabbing a bite of some fish who happened to stumble upon it.

Need some help trying to decide on an opening sequence
So I'm trying to make some adjustments for my channel on YouTube. I've made a couple opening sequences and I'm making a few more with some other changes and the plan is to have a couple on rotation. Anyway what I need to know is which ones are the best.
Each one is 24 seconds long so it's going to be less than 5 minutes of your life. Watch the 4 clips over here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3BnZs7X1qU&list=PLj3yhIVQXodxw4XHR_olFHf8kwNeRgSmH

Thank you very much. It may not seem like much but any help I can get is very appreciated.
The beginning of the DogHouse Diving Foundation
For those who don't know my diving started after my wife passed away. I have always had a love for water and being able to go under water has been something I have truly loved.
My early life was one where I endured mental and physical abuse from my family and peers and sexual abuse from a family member.
Diving has helped me survive one of the darkest periods of my life and grow beyond it, so I want to share diving with others. Particularly those people who have suffered sexual abuse as a child and are unable to afford it on their own.
Today I registered the domain name and setup a website to take a beginning step off setting up the foundation.

I only hope that my vision will come to fruition in my lifetime.

Eagle Ray and Barracuda in Cozumel.

Had a really nice dive in Cozumel. The spotted eagle ray that went past was just huge and the barracuda going right between the group was cool to see.
Shark dive on the Belize Barrier Reef in 4K
Upgraded my camera to a DJI Action 4 and got some pretty good video. My camera was fogging up a bit so sorry for that, lesson learned for sure so everything since then will be MUCH better.
Toadfishes, Shrimps, and Seahorses, Oh My!!
Hey all, had a camera get lost later on in another dive so lost a ton of footage but figured I should still try to put something out. It's also a pain to be diving with a group, wish I could afford my own safety diver, 8K camera, and boat for diving but I am just a broke guy who wants to teach people to dive for free with YouTube as my funding source.
