Dive Shop owner caught on video bragging they can kill 2 people a year and it's no big deal.

NAUI had the video and decided it was NON-ACTIONABLE 8 years later a 12 year old girl took her final dive during training with the same shop.

I can't even believe a shop can be so blase about someone losing their life and the investigation was completely botched as well. The shop in question also trained many members of the local investigation dive team, not to mention the logs from the instructor and student were never downloaded.

Furry Sea Cucumber in Mahahual Village, Mexico

Took this in March 2025 with my new camera. Was really cool to see this huge cucumber on the reef, it was actually moving around a bit and the rest of the group missed it. Was a gorgeous dive in Mahahual, Mexico. Would love to go down with my 117’s and dive my ass off. Anyway full video is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzNvy9_WPnE If you do watch, help a guy out and maybe throw me a like?

Huge school of Tangs patrolling the reef

The video is so much cooler to see them just drop down and take a nibble then move on while another one does the same. Took this in March 2025 with my new camera, Georgetown Cayman Islands. Lobster chilling in Cozumel

This was taken with my old camera and even with filters everything looked blue. Just happened to see this tasty morsel, lucky for him he was in the marine refuge, lol. Anyway it's always cool to see ssid on the reefs, I wish I could be in the water every day.

Spotted eel just poking its head out of the reef.

This was taken with my old camera and even with filters everything looked blue. Saw a few of these guys on the reef that day but I think this is one of the better looking pictures. If you look to the left hand side you can actually see a Coral Banded Shrimp hanging out as well.

Shark in St Kitts

This was taken with my old camera hehe the really blue look. Anyway happened to do some diving in St Lucia and couple years ago and the first site had a few black tip reef sharks hanging around. The guides were also spearfishing the lionfish and once they had one on a spear they would hold it up and the sharks would come flying through.

If you want to see the video feel free to head over here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZmVqnYC-6E

Starfish clinging to a piece of coral in Cozumel.

This starfish was in a really good positing to be able to be seen. I believe this is a blunt spined brittle starfish, this was taken with my old camera and even with filters everything looked blue. Saw a ton of sea life on the reef that day and can't wait to get back there with my new camera.

A pair of coral banded shrimp offering me a cleaning.

This was taken with my old camera and even with filters everything looked blue. Anyway pulled up to look in the coral and see if anything was hanging out and saw this pair of shrimp near the bottom. They slowly came up to the top and offered me a cleaning, the rest of the group had already moved off a bit so I couldn't hang around for too long.

Pair of juvenile spotted drumfish with a lobster on the reef in Mahahual Mexico

This was a very nice dive in Mahahual Village Mexico. If I get a chance I'm going to try and go down for a couple months and dive a couple times each day with my 117's.

For anyone interested: Spotted Drumfish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spotted_drum

You can see a set of four juvenile spotted drumfish I got to see in Cozumel here: https://lemmy.world/post/33477888
