V/H/S: SCP Drags the SCP Foundation Onto Tape

For thirteen years the V/H/S franchise has been rooting through the world’s cursed camcorders looking for the scariest thing on tape. It turns out the scariest thing was a filing cabinet the whole time.

The next installment is V/H/S: SCP, and it drops the found footage anthology into the SCP Foundation, the giant online horror project that has spent years pretending to be a leaked government archive. This is the rare crossover where you read the headline and immediately think, well, obviously. Two things built out of the same broken parts finally noticing each other.

Per Variety, V/H/S: SCP is coming from indie genre label Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Studios. It is the first feature length trip into SCP territory, and it is aiming for theaters in 2027.

Producing are Roy Lee and Steven Schneider out of Spooky Pictures, alongside Josh Goldbloom and Michael Schreiber. Goldbloom and Schreiber are not tourists here. Their fingerprints are already on recent entries like V/H/S/94 and V/H/S/Beyond, so the people assembling this actually know how the machine runs. (...)

SCP: STATIC | Full Live Action Film

SCP: STATIC is a psychological horror short film set in the SCP Foundation universe, inspired by classified containment footage and unexplained anomalies.

Following a containment breach, distorted surveillance recordings document encounters with some of the most dangerous SCP entities ever cataloged. As systems fail and reality destabilizes, observation itself becomes a liability.

This SCP short film features:

SCP-173 — the infamous statue that moves when unobserved

SCP-066 — a hostile sonic entity capable of causing severe auditory trauma

SCP-087 — a never-ending stairwell hiding an unknown entity

SCP-426 — a self-referential toaster that alters human perception

SCP: STATIC blends found footage, analog horror, and psychological terror, exploring themes of surveillance failure, information corruption, and loss of control within the SCP Foundation.

If you enjoy SCP horror films, SCP short films, containment breach stories, and analog horror, this film is for you.

What do you think the real SCP-001 is?

I know this is kind of a pointless question because of how 001 is supposed to work in the lore and on the site. They could all be real, or none of them could be. But I’d like to know if you had to say which one was the “real” one, what would it be? I’ll start. I don’t think the gate guardian is the real one. It’s mentioned in other 001 articles, and while you could apply Occam's razor I say I’m applying Hickam's dictum. I think there’s a good reason they’re hiding whatever it is 001 is. So what do you all think?
