Anyone remember those job listings for a "Remaster of a Nintendo 3D Action Game" Namco Bandai put up last year?
Regardless of what it actually turns out to be, or even if what they're hiring for ends up being released at all, I think we all have the same thing popping into our heads for what it sounds like it could be.
Sin and Punishment
But really, if there's any stock in these job listings, I wonder how long it would take for us to find out? They were still hiring for whatever this is much more recently, so it's probably not the farthest along, but on the bright side that means the project's not dead, either.
"I wonder if someone out there will ever port it?" Sakurai saying this was incredibly strange, all things considered.
Not to give everyone too much hope, but Masahiro Sakurai has been bombarded by so many people making so many assumptions about literally everything that comes out of his mouth that it just comes across as. . .strange, to end one of the videos in his YouTube series by making that kind of statement. Especially considering he's previously stated that he thought a remake would be "difficult." To take a more optimistic tone feels kind of. . .weirdly intentional?
Honestly, this could all be grasping at straws, but hey, if they're Uprising-shaped straws then I'll take any excuse to grab them I can get.
