This kid had such a great life. He said death was a reward for a life well lived, and I think he achieved that.
RIP Bobby. May the four winds blow you safely home.

Anyway, did anyone know of csv files for the Dead set lists?
The first one is ready on shnflac! Charlies posted google docs links don't seem to be working for everyone.
I know the story about how the band came up with the name and the definition of"grateful dead". But I have a memory of another legend or myth when it was said something like the path to the after world is guarded or guided by the grateful Dead. Did I just dream that up or has anyone else heard that story?
This sub is a bit slow, so I thought I would post about something relevant to today.
I know the Grateful Dead is long gone, no debate there. But there is a pretty big event happening in SF. Money grab, nostalgia hook, good time for young ones who never had a chance.... all sorts of opinions.
I have friends who wouldn't miss it, and friends who would never be part of it.
I wouldn't mind hearing the shows live, its a good time for a couch surf and see how it goes. Anyone want to keep a thread, post pics if you are there? I will drop some links if we have some for streaming. If there are any at all.
For those going, have a grateful day!

Jerry gets it. Bobby still looks confused, lol
It is said in the DK book that Phil thought this bumper sticker was hilarious.
May the 8th in your stash be dank and sticky and wishes that you have songs to fill the air…

Any one else see these and wonder where they got the idea for the logo?
They said the question was "Grateful Dead". We know that is not true!
They broke out Harder They Come, and I was listening to it on stream, and it was so nice to hear. Oteil sang it wonderfully.
3 set, Acoustic IKO opener. I think this is complete, and it is a fun show.
Maybe I will keep posting the new to Archive and etree to get some momentum here on Lemmy!
I know it's a hard ask, but was wondering if people would be so kind as to drop their favorite (or favorites) in this thread!
I'm basic, Sunshine Daydream is probably my favorite. 8/7/72
