Looking for native english-speaking readers to help editing a translated NSFW bara novel

Hello everyone, Allow me to introduce myself: I am Camille Roland, a french independent writer and the author of the bara thriller series "Capitaine!", inspired by the work of Gengoroh Tagame. Two volumes out of three have already been released in French.

Following the selection of the series for the 2025 International Gay Novel Award (Capax Infinity, Belgium), I have decided to translate my work into English with the help of my community, in order to bring "Capitaine!" to a wider audience.

An initial translated draft of Volume 1 is available; however, I need assistance refining it. As English is not my first language, many subtleties still escape my notice. I am therefore looking for native English-speaking bara readers (UK English) to assist me in the editing phase of the manuscript, with the goal of providing this new audience with a high-quality translation.

The selection criteria are as follows: • You are aged 21 or over. • You love reading. • You love bara. Note: I am not talking about yaoi; I am talking about bara. • Ideally, you are British: the translation has been done in UK English to preserve the series' European rugby vibe. • You are not deterred by trigger warnings: the atmosphere of the book is toxic, violent and disturbing in many aspects (sexual, verbal, physical, psychological, etc.).

My main challenges: The novel was written in French, and despite all my efforts and those of the proofreaders for the translation draft, some French formulations still feel awkward once translated. As English is not my first language, I need help addressing my blind spots.
