Made this group because I recently got a ECC and didn't find any dedicated community on the Fediverse. Figured this could be a good place to socialize and share tips, tricks and helpful links to STLs.

I got the canvas a few days ago and hooked it up. It was pretty smooth but I may have not fully seated a wire or plug at one point and got many frustrating errors about print head anomalies. I eventually pulled everything apart and put it back together and now the errors are gone.

I’m trying a multicolored light box print and have had no success so far. I’m struggling a bit to wrap my head around things in the slicer vs printer color assignment, etc. so not a huge success so far but I am looking forward to doing some multicolored prints and to have petg for support interfaces.

Anyone jump on the pre order? Looks like it sold out fast.

I had to sink the handle into the bed to level it out and can’t get the thin top part to print without it failing. This printer has never struggled so hard with a model before. Wondering if maybe I should try Orca slicer

Wondering what people are using. I personally am still using the Elegoo software. I want to try to do a layer color change soon and have never done that manually before. Any tips, tricks or advice? Material is all PLA.

The firmware is released and Open Centuari Project is chugging along. There will be no AMS and you'll need a carbon 2 for that . . . what are people's thoughts and feelings? Personally, I still really like the printer and multicolor has never been on my radar. I recently updated to the latest firmware and can turn the light off and on while printing and have been enjoying that. I am interested in the community efforts and when the company upsets me enough, I may go whole hog into that but for now, I'm just making stuff and having fun. Where is everyone else at?

Elegoo launches Nexprint, an open-source platform to simplify 3D model sharing

Curious if anyone has done an audit to try to see what type of information the printer sends back if you have auto updates enabled. Wonder if they capture things like print history or items like that. I run pinhole on my network but I would probably have to use Wireshark or or something to really see what is going across the wire.

Anyone get the vibration feet? There were out of stock for awhile and are back in. Thinking of picking them up

Coming from a world of Ender 3 machines, I'm use to using wheel locks, ABL and mesh leveling where once I dial it in, I don't touch it again until something goes wrong. With the ECC I thought the same would apply but the few prints I did where I didn't do the auto level first, the nozzle was too close and scrapped along the bed. Wondering if people have had a similar experience? I was only using the textured side of the bed and didn't make any changes in the slicer. Side not, if you want to use the other side (B-smooth) you have to change the elegoo slicer setting to bed type, cool smooth plate. Took me way to long to figure that out.

I just the 3 pack of beds recently and found the STL on printables. Now that I have these cool plates that are material specific, I'm going to have to find something to make carbon fiber worth it lol
