Off-topic: A Side Project

(im French)

The strange and fascinating world of early 20th-century French Catholic writers.

A while back, I started working on a second blog dedicated to French Catholic writers from the early 20th century, many of whom all knew each other in one way or another.

I’m lucky enough to own a large collection of books published during that era, including several remarkable works that were printed only once in a few dozen copies.

I also have plenty of books of correspondence (the WhatsApp of the early 20th century).

Much of what I plan to publish is extremely scarce online or IRL.

My goal is to paint a portrait of the relationships, writings, and intellectual networks of this mind-blowing literary movement.

If you own rare texts from that period, or simply want to get in touch, feel free:

See ya later, alligators.

Hopefully, Douthat or Dreher see this.

it's not that Catholics are wrong, it's just that they're wrong about everything else

May God bless you and keep you. May his face shine down upon you, and give you peace. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.

It' not that these Catholics are wrong, it's just that they are wrong about everything else.

Catholics are being which have been upgraded from demons. Just in their last lifetime, they were demons.

And what demons do best is hierarchy and dogma. They had just recently been engaged in trying to delude all of humanity into power structures which preached powerful values, and virtues which don't matter except to the power structure, as a means of controlling mind. Some of them, however, showed promise. They showed an eligibility.

Thus God made them Catholics—the lowest of the low. The least spiritual of spiritualist.

But they got one thing right. They stick to one thing. They are totally powerless to help anyone but themselves, but they do one thing right. They help the poor.

God bless all Catholics. But do not become self-deluded. You also help to create the poor. Bit the principle is correct.

God comes in the flesh to suffer along with his children. The Boly Mother is not actually the Mary of the flesh, She is his eternal consort, the Supreme Life Itself. No mother could ever love him as she does. The Supreme life itself. Who give us all life. Who never has a word of hatred, a moment of judgment, a second lacking faith.

It is beyond anything you can conceive. Nothing you do or say could ever repay Her.

But the Holy Spirit is the spiritual teacher. Do not blaspheme against the one who shows you the way to God. That is unforgivable. If you accidentally do this, repent, repent, repent. You can say what you want against the Father and the son—who are in truth one—but never ever say anything against the spiritual teacher.

Got bless us all. May we never say anything against our spiritual teacher. God bless us.

as a society, we spend billions of dollars to prevent people from accidentally becoming catholic

Through education (Catholics tend to be highly educated which is an irony).

Catholics treat jews as a living museum for their archaic understanding of the world. Of course they have to usher them into their hovels, excomminicate them, but they are a necessary extension of catholic limitations.

It was necessary during the holocaust for catholics to turn their backs on their museum. They were complicit in recognition and acceptance of Nazism. This may seem like just another of countless mistakes Catholics made throughout history, but it was actually much more pernicious and calculated. As all their 'mistakes' were.

You needed Jews to substantiate the old testament somehow; that there were people who still professed iron age morality, upon which the Catholic faith was built. But there was always the chance that butchering them or (through Inquisition, whatever) banishing them from time to time, one might open the door to the second coming. You took your chances. But you needed them, and they were required to commit genocide against Arab people, because...genocide is Biblical. Like slavery.

It's nice that Catholics pretend to be nice people. We don't want them to stop that, and if threat of eternal damnation helps that along, then so be it. We just don't want them to ever again gain political power.

Amen.
