A simple bad to get us started.

Does anyone have any places for matchlocks? I see Veteran and Military Heritage are out of stock and Middlesex Village I'm not sure f the owner is still in business. The Rifleshoppe has some for almost $1k

I'm trying to spend $800 tops. I like the "fishtail" style ones.

I put this here to ask if anyone has done cowboy action shooting using black powder?

Peter puts together a 54 caliber Woodsrunner rifle. He purchased the kit from Jim Kibler and was amazed, over and over again, with the fine workmanship and the wood to metal fit of the components. He casts lead balls and test fires the rifle.
