News / Other: Arbitrary Code Execution has been achieved in the original GameCube title

Just caught wind of this from my YouTube timeline. It looks like arbitrary code execution has been achieved in the original GameCube title. I'm not sure what is possible with it right now (what I've seen is essentially being able to access one of the more advanced debug menus), but the "Forbidden Four" items (essentially 4 NES games that are either impossible or very difficult to obtain: Ice Climbers, Super Mario Bros, Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda) is now possible to obtain without hacks thanks to ACE being discovered.

I'd recommend watching this for more information: https://youtu.be/U2/_rgNWGRDA

News / Pretendo Network: Update to continue playing 3DS online

Hi everyone, I'm a couple of days late but if you use @pretendo on a #Nintendo3DS console to play titles such as Animal Crossing New Leaf online, you'll need to perform an update to Nimbus to continue playing online.

Information and instructions are available here: https://forum.pretendo.network/t/network-maintenance-completed-2026-10-04/30790?u=gamersinternatio

Note: For full disclosure, I am a moderator for Pretendo Network.

News / Monthly Overview: The monthly overview post is now out for September

Hi everyone, September's monthly overview post is now out!

https://experiencersinternational.com/2026/09/01/what-to-expect-in-animal-crossing-in-september-2026/

Whilst I'm here, in case you are currently unaware, the Nitter instances that we use here and on @splatoon have been taken down with a cease and desist from Twitter. This means that we might not be able to pick up on stuff as quickly or as well as we did given I do not have a Twitter account. Thank you for continuing to support the work here!

News / Collaborations: Grab Splatoon Raiders designs from the Able Sisters

News / Collaborations: Grab Splatoon Raiders designs from the Able Sisters

To celebrate the upcoming launch of #SplatoonRaiders, Nintendo is distributing two custom designs themed around the game. These are the Squid Tank Top (design ID MO-5MR7-BQM4-891L) & Smallfry Fan (design ID MO-RF23-CBM7-CWJN).

You can read more in the link below. Additionally, it's worth reminding that you can scan any Splatoon Amiibo in to get exclusive items in game and to invite either Cece or Viché (I have Viché on my island personally).
