a dyson swarm is a group of satellites that would orbit a star to collect large amounts of solar energy, my particular vision of the future sees a solar system where the planet mercury has been turned into a massive factory that can produce anything anyone could need or want, venus and mars have been terraformed into mirror images of earth, while earth itself has been restored to a level of diversity and ecological growth not seen since the industrial revolution, there would be an expanding sphere of human influence that would eventually spread between stars, and the entire endeavor could be powered by a dyson swarm, and supplied by the factories on mercury
