A few hours before our preaseaon hopes and dreams encounter reality, how are we feeling?

Folks ready for another season? Any wild predictions, hopes or takes?

I uhhh, decided for once to go big on optimism/nostalgia for 23/24 in my fantasy pool. Mostly because after I took JT relatively early, Petey was available fairly late and having the two of them together amused me. Then I doubled down by taking Boeser. And I have since tripled down by adding Silovs off waivers.

This D core gives me a lot of hope

Hey, thanks for starting this community

I'm just pumped about the upside of DPetey, Willander, and Mancini. Idk about this year, but they have the potential to make this not just the one of the best D cores in the league, but with 3 elcs it could also be one of the cheapest. I love Myers and forbert, but if the young guys can make them expendable and the team can allocate that money to some better forwards, that would be unreal.

They're in a great position to learn too, with Foote as a coach and Hughes as a captain.

Now if the Canucks can get a legitimate 2c and push chytil and blueger to 3c and 4c, suddenly this team is looking pretty deep.
