I think it has to do with censorship laws in those countries. They’re likely worded to prohibit showing nipples, labia, etc. so this gets around them.
It's more so Japanese models that do this, since pornography is completely banned in China. In Japan porn is obviously widespread but there's heavy restrictions on the actual genitalia hence why most of them use pixelation censors
