I always chalk up fictional universes as being translated to you as storytelling. The Whos probably don't even speak English anyway so everything is translated and what we call Christmas is a crude translation from whatever they call it. I seek solace in that they celebrate a pagan gift giving tradition with decorating similar to our Christmas but without the Christ.

This is blasphemy against Whosus. In Whoville you would be burned in the grinch skin during midwhommer

Well most of Christmas as we know it comes from Yule, the Nordic winter solstice celebration

Can we follow that logic to assume they had Who vikings, going around Whourope Seussically pillaging Whonasteries and Whollages and whimsically blood eagling Who peasants?

OK if your'e going to come in here talking about how Christmas predates Christ, that's fine and you're right, but you're also required to post your version of the execution of Jesus.

Anyway I'm picturing some kind of catapult that flings him onto spikes.
