I stopped using Thunder and went back to Jerboa. But you can just go to the community itself and if I remember correctly, there's a button in the top right that'll pull up a menu with that option.
Alternatively, go to the webinterface and block the communities from there. That works, as well.
It's not 100% the same, but you can block communities completely and they won't show up anywhere.
