I was playing around with Quarto, which is not as mature as Hugo but seems a bit more approachable (it has great integration with Rstudio, for example)

Started recently fiddling with Hugo on embedding pdf, noteboks, thanks for the post.
I haven't heard of this before. How does it compare to Obsidian or Notion?
