True, good there are some extensions that you can controll colors, and compositions, etc., thats make some space for creativity, but mostly its just random generator of pictures
I guess, but the way I see it. If you don’t give any input, it really is a random picture generator. But with every word you write, you limit that randomness and try to create something you want to see out of the chaos.
Maybe I’m just trying to make it sound grander than it really is, but that’s how I like to see it anyway.
And when I finally do manage to get it to produce the image that I’ve had in mind, I can pat myself on the back for a job well done :)

Fair point, but now Ai is a photographer and we just pick his photos, I feel like it makes a big difference in creativity

I'm sure you spend a lot of work on getting it just right.
It takes creativity to get that AI to actually do what you want it to do :)
