Oops, just realized there's a game on 🤐

Nice to see Ramsdale get a Champions League game.

Interesting that just two seasons ago we were bitching and moaning about all the crosses, and now all I want is for our 6' 4" BFG to steer them into the net

so what you're saying is that in two seasons we'll be asking Eidevall to cross more towards Russo

2

ad saying "the champion foldables" is that referring to man city, cuz they're gonna fold as a club once those 115 kick in

lemmy.world

No no no no no no you're not telling me Elneny's injured again. No.

3

Honestly i wouldn't even mind if he just didin't get hurt for months on every time.

1

Good few saves. Like SoupACabra said, generally covered by Wilo and Cedric. Gabriel hasn't been great tbf.

6

Saved a low shot from just outside the box

Had a shot covered as it hit the post

Not much threat to deal with because of Wilo and 🤔🤔🤔 Cedric

So is automated offsides only for the knockout stages? I don't see why it shouldn't be in place for the group stage as well

have found the actual reason (i think). Kiwior is the one who receives and scores it. But Gabriel interferes with play and therefore still offside, but semiauto will track Kiwior.

It is semi-auto, maybe they just didn't bother showing the imagery since it started with a ref offside call.

Yeah, perhaps. Not like it was controversial in any way, I'm just eager to see more automated stuff getting put in

I've seen part of twitter moan about it tbf. Small but definitely exists, and also probably people who don't know the rules lol

1

Honestly that's part of why I want automated offsides, so we can focus on what the refs are fucking up -the subjective calls

Honestly forgot how decent Cedric can be. Not PL challenge level, sure, but he's really not that bad. Surprised no one bought him. Wages, probably.

2
lemmy.world

I think so. He was extended before we really fixed our wage structure, and his Fulham loan didn't help matters.

3

yeah. He is quite alright though, lol. Reminded of why we played him even ahead of Holding at times. (though obvioulsy White having to learn RB for Holding to play didn't help either)

to be fair, we aren't winning the game, i can understand not putting them on. Just mild, very mild frustration lol.

I really, really don't get why he hasn't given the kids a 15 minute run out. What damage could they possibly do when we're tied 1-1 and both sides are content to be going through?

I don't buy the "we want to win every game" philosophy, either. If we want to make academy players think they can get into the first team, we can't just keep pointing to Saka.

2

There's a good bit of money involved tbf, but yeah. Would've liked to see a runout for the kids. Smith Rowe does need the minutes, though.

1

Kai could have shot there

Eddie how do you go off target from that far

1

so it is. good shit. Coulda done better but i'll take it, Rice needs to do better in the first place there.

1

idk how I just noticed this but Nelson and Trossard have switched sides once Ødegaard came on.

1

He's always either amazing or terrible this season, never in between.

1
lemmy.world

White, Rice, Ødegaard on for Cedric, Saliba, Elneny (the last of which was injured)

1

Rice at CB. Eddie has fallen and stayed down after an accidental collision with Havertz.

2

i swear it's gonna come out that Walters tripped in the shower before coming here or something
