The timing tower needs a "+5s" information for each driver if they already got a penalty, like in the F1 games. It's hard to keep track who has been penalized.

19

That should actually be standard for every race tbh

Now just watch, Max pits to go for fastest lap, so Ferrari copy him and drop Charles below Checo 🤣🤣

The good thing is that RB often doesn't risk anything in this season. So Ferrari can keep these beatiful ideas in the drawer

2

"We know the car is bad Lewis. Please drive it." That's just brutal. Toto is ruthless. But honestly, his cool demeanour he still had when Mercedes was winning championships completely crumbled now.

Yesterday's sprint was excellent. Hoping for a good race today as well.

I'm surprised that Lando can hang on to Lewis.

6

with Lewis already on track limits warning after 13 laps, he could well be behind him soon

3

New RBR slogan: To crush your enemies, see them driven behind you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!

So what’s the over under on Ferrari fucking up their strategy today?

I don't think anyone should bet on safe events like a ferrari strategy fuckup. There are better ways to waste your money

Not too bad? Carlos was on hards.. They pitted him on lap 16, dropped him down 3 places, and took him off the long stint tyre :D

1

Double stack was questionable. But SAI has recovered. Broken clock and all that.

1

I think for PER it's important to have better track position than to be stuck with new tyres. And for VER, I mean RB could do everything and he would win.

2

Verstappen didn't pit? The overview put him on 1 pit. But the graphics are often off.

1

The Checo-Sainz battle was great. There were some awesome moments in the race.

Unfortunately, dominance from one team is boring, I cheer for Max but unless there is something wrong with his car or he crashes, I don't see much changing untill next season maybe. I'm hoping that the cost/development restrictions help rein in the dominant teams and help some of the struggling teams before the next rule change

Checo in 3rd. The Red Bull strategy is always so good.

Checo in 3rd. The Red Bull strategy is always so good.

1

HUL goes from fighting for a podium yesterday to a retirement today. This man has only one type of luck.

3

Another VER win but he had to work for it a little. PER managing a very good damage limitation drive in ending up on the podium

Ferrari pulling off a double podium could have been a dream come true given where the team was a few weeks back. Alas, it was not to be. 2-4 is not a bad weekend though is it? If they can get strategy sorted out, the car seems to be getting there but tyre deg is still a touch too high.

NOR killing it today and putting that McLaren on the map yet again. PIA needs to step up or we will be talking about him getting replaced soon. I know he doesn’t have the upgrades this race but ending up rock bottom when your teammate rakes in points is not a good look.

ALO having a very lonely race but scoring some much needed points. STR just squeaking in a point was nice but he can and should be doing better.

HAM struggling quite a bit today while RUS seemed more comfortable with the car. But the car seemed to be genuinely struggling at this track. Let’s see what the British isles look like for this team next week.

GAS doing quite well to clock 2 points for the team. Too bad OCO could not be bullheaded enough to get some points today.

ALB and SAR having very good runs, a nice change for SAR huh? The Williams is easily the best if the rest at this point.

ZHO and BOT doing their usual thing. BOT getting squeezed at the start again and ZHO ending up ahead of him but not too far ahead.

DEV outperformed TSU today, a much needed performance but I am afraid it had more to do with TSU losing it rather than DEV rising to the occasion. Doubt it will cut much ice with Helmut.

MAG the lone Haas in the fight today and there’s not much good to tell. The car is a shitbox and there don’t seem to be signs of improvement.

Very thrilling race. 8.5/10.

3

Closer than expected to be honest. But I don't think he can challenge for the rest of the race

At this point I really need the penalties displayed next to the timing tower like in the F1 games. Can't keep up with them.

I don't know if I'm wrong, but I thought this indicator had existed for a short time last year

So Ferrari's "attacking Max" appears to have lasted about 3 corners, all of which Charles tried to take on the outside.

3

I feel like Checo got a rocket from the team. Very aggressive against Max yesterday and already aggressive today

1
lemmy.world

That's the difference between Max and Checo.

Max holds the pass till he's crossed the drs line, Checo passes right before it.

3

I do wish we got to see more of Max fighting for position. We sadly don’t get to see that side of his skill set often enough.

Looks like no one here is excited about the VER overtake. 😛😉😈😛😉😈😛😉😈

2

In a similar way I don't get excited about the sun rising and setting each day.

Some things are predictable

1

Ferrari will Ferrari. Sainz is hulking out.

1

Norris DotD for me. Excellent stuff by him.

Good redemption by Perez. Nice clean drive by Leclerc.

Gutted for Albon. Just missed out on P10.

2

Maybe Ferrari should give SAI his head. LEC seems to have maxed out his chase of VER.

2

The Ferrari strategists are at it again.

Oh ya. They need to hire Vettel as their chief fucking strategist. At least the team will have one sensible man.

Black and white flag for Hulkenberg? Whoever does the notifications: please recheck that. Hulkenberg is out.

2

He went WAY past the track limits by walking into the motor home area.

1
reddthat.com

Does HAM still have a 5s penalty or did he serve it in his first pit stop?

1

Some drivers thinking they could get away with violating track limits even though stewards have been tough all weekend. Fuck around and find out.

1

I really don't think the producers do Hamilton any favours. I'm a Brit but not a Lewis fan, and one of the reasons is things like this, rather than just getting on with his race, Lewis is pissy because he got a penalty so he complains about everyone else.

But, I do think in some ways the producers do him no favours, could well be that countless drivers are saying the same, but they only broadcast Lewis

1

What happene to Merc? They were very confident going into the weekend.

1

That’s just some impressive game from the Redbull garage. What a fucking message to send down the pitlane. They’re going to be walking with some swagger after that pit stop.
