Would you mind sharing your experiences with the Bersa Thunder .380 ACP?

I think that's a really nicely priced EDC pistol, so it would be nice to hear if anything has stood out to you (either positive or negative)

I'm in love with it, cheap and reliable, I ran 400+ rounds through it before getting a malfunction, and it was a stovepipe on the last round of a overfilled magazine that didn't reoccur before or since in the same configuration, so I think that was just an underpowered cart. Some people complain it's too snappy on the recoil, but I guess it's hard for me to tell. Only problem I've had aside from that was my decocker is a little gritty, so I'm gonna disassemble it completely today and make sure it's all clean and lubed and if I still have issues I'll replace the part. It has some wear from what looks like the firing pin. The base model is officially a 7+1 I believe, but I manage to get an extra rider into the magazines that I was told were stock with no issues. If capacity is lacking I've heard the Thunder .380 Plus is barely any bigger and can be loaded to 15+1. I've bought one and am waiting for it to come in and be ready for pickup. then I'll assess which one I like more. The only downside I've found with the Plus model that the magazines for it are "hard to find" but I managed to find 2 for 95 USD or 1 for 50 on gunbrokers.

edit: I have noticed it's a little harder to find luxury accessories. You won't find a teardown schematic cleaning mat easily, Kydex holsters are harder to find that explicitly support it, etc. None of that really matters to me, though.

edit2: I was just a little hasty cleaning it last time, decocker is fine after a quick spot clean and a little love

Woah, thanks for the whole write up! Sounds pretty nice all around! Especially since you liked it enough to buy the big sibling with a bigger capacity! 😂

Stay safe out there and happy holidays! 🥳
