Making the communities would be good, but I think that it'd be better to use the main community to build up some content n feeling of community. And after that, if it starts to becomes all memes n all movie reviews, it could be directed towards the specific communities.
What would be good content to share n talk about? Any general guidelines on topics?
Maybe fellow comrades could share how they want the main community to be like?

Not directly related to this, but A10-A10aa, have you linked/shared this instance/community to other communities like [email protected] n all? It'd give the instance and community greater visibility.
Or do you want the community to be a closer-knit gradually growing group?
Also wouldn't it cost you to keep the server up and running? What is it that like(asking as a person who isn't a programmer)?
