What are your opinions are merit devices like Prayer Wheels?
I understand each person is going to have a different take on them and I’m curious to hear what yours maybe. It seems to be a very interesting practice.

I personally believe the merit of reciting a mantra on a mala. I think most people recite mantra as they spin the prayer wheel, makes sense to me.
Merit is a quality of the mind—the goodness of mind cultivated—not some mechanical ritual. The devices are irrelevant—it is the skillfulness of intention that is important.
