They didn't fuck over the app devs.

It was us, the users, they fucked over.

An end of an era! just deleted my 13 year old account! I feel relieved.

Just deleted my account. Over 10 years. My reason for deleting: Fuck u/spez

If you don't use a password manager, you should.
I usually go for 32 characters, but some sites don't allow that. 24 is fine too.

Better to use bigger password + 2fa if you don't have to manually type it 🤷 (use password managers)

My parting comment: "Steve Huffman's mom fucked a lemur, and now we all have to live with the consequences."

Cannot delete my accounts. Either reddit is blocking on purpose or account deletion is bottlenecked

I’m torn between keeping the account so I can keep shredding my comments or just completely delete the account.

I changed all my comments to: u/spez is no longer deserving of my contributions to monetize. Comment has been redacted.

So that its more of a campaign across about 1000 comments I've done over the years so there is a chance of awareness and there is more junk and basically no value to the content.

I might delete it but knowing that someone might not be able to get the answer they want and push people to Lemmy or other sources feels good.

im slowly deleting my comments as well, all my posts have been deleted at this point

I like how they made helping Reddit improve to be optional. I suspect I'm not the only one who doesn't feel inclined to help them in any way.

I applaude your decision-however-Sadly the average Joe won't do this and it will barely be noticed by the reddit HQ
