How to Reduce the Storage Size of Mail in Windows 11

Is there a way to reduce the memory usage of mail in Windows 11?

I have a Microsoft Surface, with only 120GB of memory; however, in the System>Storage view it shows that mail is using up 7GB. I have uninstalled Outlook and this doesn't change.

Off topic, but if you're able to upgrade that storage, the price is pretty low right now.

A crucial 500GB 2.5 SSD is on sale for $35.

M2/nvme drives are on sale too.

It's a surface, I don't think it's accessible, although idk about newer models, the old ones were sealed behind the screen

That's good to know. I'll look into that.

First install "showkey plus" and try to get your Windows license key. They hide that away from you even though you need it to register without a MS Account.

Btw this is still possible.

So if you need to reinstall Windows this is crucial. Maybe they have some way to transfer an installation though.

Will any SSD fit or do I need a specific brand/model?

Honestly, I have no idea....you'll have to look that up for the model surface you own.

The most I did before posting was search "surface hard drive replacement", saw that a few tutorials existed.

Be careful with m.2 ssds, they're a few different variants that look very similar.

You reached the end
