Meowdily meow! I'm using mlem to access things? I... Can't figure out how to post images using it though XD 😭

I don't have an iphone, so I have no idea. I think you can install the web version as a progressive web app, by going to your browser and clicking "install" somewhere in the menu when you're browsing lemmy.

I haven’t used mlem for a bit, switched over to Memmy and have liked it a lot!

hmmm... seems the Memmy beta is full otherwise I'd happily give it a try :c

MOOOOO! I just made accounts today for both Yiffit and Pawb.Social. So far I'm definitely enjoying Lemmy as a Reddit alternative, and it's making it a lot easier to give up Reddit entirely now that I'm without my Reddit app of choice.

I hope you enjoy! Remember that you can actually use both instances with a single account <3

4

No, you choose the one you like most based on the local timeline that you find most interesting.

3

You can visit communities on other instances (servers) with an account from anywhere. As an example, I'm posting on this thread using my @pawb.social account, but the community is located on @yiffit.net.

There's a small infographic guide to Lemmy here, or a short text guide here.

Meow. Nice to see new users around, welcome! I don't condone the irresponsible amount of awooing, but what's a cat gonna do

Awooo!

UI is very much like old reddit, while I'm much more used to new reddit. Apart from that everyone is friendly and everything looks to be fairly active!

4

Welcome! I recognize you from Mastodon! Glad to have you around.

I'm new, just created my account today and just getting to know what's around on here.

Awoooo. I'm using Lemmy on Jerboa, and I can only hope to get used to the UI soon.

Give Liftoff a try as well. So far my favorite apps are Liftoff > Jerboa > Thunder (missing too many features atm).

One question: how do I stop getting bombarded by porn when I'm im browsing All? I'll be browsing all on this Lemmy, and then a post from LemmyNSFW pops up with no blur. I don't mind no blur, but is there a way to exempt other lemmys when searching all?

2

If you're browsing Yiffit via web, you can enable blur in your profile by changing the style. The default one has blur disabled.

3

You'll have to block each community or turn off NSFW. In the future there should be a way to block an entire instance, but I'm not sure how much of a priority it is for the devs.

2

I love that liftoff allows you to combine feeds from multiple instances.

You reached the end
