So sad. I literally just opened it up for one last scroll, and nothing loaded.

Pulling it early is a "don't let the door it you on the way out". Guess they really want us all to get out and stay out.

Dev says in the linked post that it was a bit early. I assumed it was like 10 minutes early based on the post times I saw on the first wave of o7 posts

Rip. Glad I got Mlem lined up to replace it. This is my first comment as a refugee lol

Same. Also trying Memmy at the same time. Still undecided which I like better!

Agreed. I’m finding Memmy a bit more intuitive over Mlem for things like finding new communities. The signup was also super simple which I think is crucial from brining in new users.

So many good apps. Wish I could combine features from so many into one.

I like Memmy and WefWef the best as of now. Memmy feels faster so I’ve been using it, but it lacks a few features that I like from WefWef.

Spez put a bullet in Apollo’s brain while it was enjoying the sunset

Fuck spez for being a greedy little pig bitch. Apollo might not work anymore but I’ll be damned if I’ll ever delete it off my phone, just for sentimental nostalgia. Thank you Christian for building a great app!

That app ain’t ever leaving my phone, shame it got such a sudden end :/

Strong "you didn't dump me, I dumped you first!" vibe

I am so sad. I had to put Memmy in the spot I had Apollo in so I don’t mess up my muscle memory. I am really glad Apollo is inspiring some great new apps though. I hope Lemmy and Kbin continue to take off. Thanks for everything, Christian.

Here via wefwef after the end of Apollo. I’m glad that there’s so much support for Lemmy with an interface similar to Apollo!

Sad to see Apollo end and don’t see myself on reddit other than the occasional google search question.

You reached the end

It’s official. Christian says they pulled the plug. | Spyke
